"2012: Monster" by Savannah Coleman

Here's another one of Envy, from Fullmetal Alchemist (manga/Brotherhood canon.) I actually drew this for April 10th, which I suppose is designated as "Envy Day" amongst the Japanese-speaking sections of FMA fandom. For some reason I don't see specific character days in the English-speaking places. I wonder why that is.

Anyway, I originally wanted to draw something creepy considering he's a rather creepy character. Instead it ended up being in a similar cute-ish style as another failed-attempt-at-creepiness piece I did of him, which hasn't been posted here (it's on DA: http://fav.me/d4gsdpk - there's a wee bit of blood in it.) Despite the fact that I think I failed at being creepy, I'm still putting a slight warning on this because I know someone has already been a bit unsettled by the eye-horror going on here.

If you've read the comic or watched Brotherhood, you'll know already why his left eye is like that. For those who don't know (spoiler): behind the innocent looking androgynous human façade, Envy is rather grotesque. That eye is only the proverbial tip of the iceberg as to what a monster he actually is.
