A return back to my fantasy roots because man cannot live on anthro alone...or something. Not the best piece I've ever done, but I enjoyed doing it, and I love little dragons ever so much! Oh, and I really dislike the way that people just slap a pair of pointed ears on a human and call it an elf. If it's an elf it should look etherial and otherworldly, IMHO. Let me then point out to you that this is NOT a human. Her head and face are obviously different, her nose and jaw jutting out a bit more from her face, her forehead sloping up into her hair. Her nose is of a specific configuration I am afraid I did not pull off very well, but it is not typical human. Her eyes are very slanted, sloping upwards towards the top of her head, and her ears are moveable. Lastly, this race is very tall and slender with long features, again something I feel I did not pull off very well. Oh well. Watercolor and colored pencil on 10 1/2 X 9 Bristol.

I like her hair - you made it look lovely, silky and shimmery. Her face is beautiful and the colours of her dress and the dragon look really iridescent.

I love the way she is sooo interested in the lil creature. And the fact she is beautiful makes it even more magical. She seems like a princess and its unusual for royalty to be so interested in things as such. thats why I see it as amazing...

This is gorgeous. I love the color palette you used, but more than anything I think it's the elf woman's face. She's beautiful, but it's not a conventional beauty, that cut and dry formula for 'pretty' that most people tend to follow. This is more natural. I also adore the wings on the tiny dragon. All the 'finger bones' really give it a wild look. The only thing I would nitpick on would be the woman's hands seem a little large, but otherwise it's simply lovely. Great stuff!

I love the colors in this pictures. They're really complimentary and striking. Her face is very interesting as well. And the lil' guy is so sweet. This picture is wonderful!

At last. THIS is an elvin maiden. The colors are wonderful. Only thing I wonder about, why would elves, being close to nature and the natural way, indulge in the modern earthling fad of ear piercings? A few are traditional down through the ages, but not surely in the points of the ears?? Only my own take.
