SciFi and Fantasy Art Sons of Rohan by Jenny Dolfen

Probably the last Lord of the Rings pic for a while - a commission for akai-no-akuma from deviantART. It's Éomer, post-War of the Ring, with his son Elfwine.

Since I absolutely loved the Rohirric clothes and armour design in the movies, I couldn't help but use similar designs here. But Éomer, as always, has been de-Urbanized. I never really liked Urban as Éomer.

It is simply incredibly perfect... from the faces and the shields and the armor.. and the banners... oh my God, the banners! This is a thousand times better than my own feeble attempts at drawing Rohirrim... but atleast you give us mortals something to strive towards

I love the colour scheme in it, very Rohirric. I also like the flow of their hair and the banners... well, I like the whole picture and I like most of your pictures, so saying more isn't necessary.

12 Jan 2008	Christy Miller	Loading... Wow! I’m amazed at all the detail you’ve managed to get into this. It’s absolutely breathtaking! I espeacially like the flags waving in the wind. I’m not quite good enough to get that effect... and the celtic knots are great! Perfect. I love this!
