Tag As FavoriteComment		Mermaid captured by a fisherman... she turned out REALLY well, but i really don't like the fisherman. Someone suggested i add a net or something in the background to make it stand out a bit more, and i am thinking about it, but i really like it as it is. Wish i could figure out how to fix him. I was working from a modle picture that was only one inch by one inch.... Pencils on drawing paper

Ooooo, what a mean fisherman. I feel sad for the merlady... THis is very well drawn Chrissy, it's atmospheric and well composed.

the mermaids is very good but like you say the fisherman needs a bit more work. His right arm is way too big and the left arm as no detail at all, I suggest looking at other pictures of men with bare arms to help you out.

His face also needs a bit more definition but this pose is very difficult, see if you can find a book that helps with drawing heads in different poses. Yes, the picture i was drawing from was only one inch tall so it was very difficult. I might go back to it sometime and fix it though.

OK the mermaid is just WOW PERFECT!!!! I love the shading and her tail is incredible. You're right, thr fisherman does need a bit of more work, I think an above commenter said it all, about the arm and face. But very cool!!!

I think it is a really ace picture and i do love mermaids! But add a net or something to make it obvious he caught her it would make it look good. Every one who wines about the unperfect pieces in pictures could you do any better? If not then why say it . There are lots off effort in pictures you know.
Anyone who disagrees write in underneaf.
I can understand if you just want to sugest ways to improve it, but if not then why say it?

Good shading! SUGER SUGER SUGER!!! The pixies will punish the mean fisherman!!! He will find an army of middle aged men dressed in bright pink tutu's and with big sparkily wings and little pink wands at his doorstep in three days!!! Three days...
