| 4 Feb 2002 | Ben | Loading...the picture looks very much Third Editioney (new word!) in the larger scale design, the style of the axe, and also in the fact that you did a sterling job of making the entire body look like it works, in terms of muscles and skeleton and such. wonderful gallery, and a better imagination. | |
| 15 Feb 2002 | Markooshio (softimage user) | Loading...Pretty cool man, I could go on like everyone else in elfwood and say things like "i'm in awe", "the power in your art is moving" or "absolutely breathtaking". but i'm not going to. I will only say that this pic has a good concept and the lighting was done well, I really like it! | |
| 21 Feb 2002 | Zachariah Campbell | Loading...Okay, I know I already commented on this one, but it's worth coming back to... I have to agree with Sarah's comment: the light is the clincher for this piece. I can really feel the time of day, the heat, etc (mmm... feeling the heat... will this winter ever end?). Also the bits of hair are great... attention to detail pays off.
The only part I kind of don't like (and I only noticed it this time) is the photo-source-looking earth he's crouching on... totally doesn't look like it's part of the picture. The only reason it didn't bother me right away is because it's dark enough that it avoids notice. I know it's boring, but I think this would be better if it were "painted" as well. | |
| 27 Mar 2002 | Arylkia Nicole Morris | Loading...Wow,i really love this one.it may be linework, but i get a sense of 3 dimansional as well from the digital fx you added.i like that part the best.youve taken two sides of art and merged them into one piece quite well.it reminds me of a comic type of art or techinue ive seen.you have done a very good job and now you have me drooling lol.up for an art trade someday? lol ;P | |
| 9 Nov 2002 | Johan Bergström | Loading...Cool. First the sketch, then the colored piece. Excellent coloring. Great dark shadows. Good dramatic lighting. Excellent character design. Big evil axe. What more could one ask for? Well, personally, Im not to keen on that type of sky in the background, it could have been a bit more dramatic (ohboy, am I nittpicking, but I think you could have pushed that sky a bit more, I certainly see ya got the talent!!!) and without the "pinkish" color in it (I dont like that pink color). Keep up the great work! | |
| 27 Mar 2003 | Tori Wheeler (Kyraal) | Loading...First off..this is a wonderful picture. The detail is amazing. I only have a few minor quibbles...the whole picture is so realistic..but..the shiny horns detract from that, I think. They look kind of unnatural. Maybe if they were toned down. And the only other thing I would change would be the jaw. It looks pretty disjointed to me. It looks almost like it's hanging by the skin. Then again..it might be that it's supposed to look like that. What do I know? Heh. Otherwise..gash..this is truly amazing! Very life like. Great work! | |
