Gabriel isn't an archangel, he's a messenger. You might want to change that about your story. Michael and Lucifer were archangels, but I don't think any others are mentioned by name in the Bible... Great work so far. Keep it up! John Greaves replies: "You are indeed right about Gabriel not being refered to as an archangel in the Bible itself, however, from what I can tell from my research I think that when the 'Church fathers' if that's the right term for them decided to classify Angels and their ranks, Gabriel was put as one of the seven archangels, but as you rightly say he is not named as such in the Bible. Thanks for the interest though and as I want to keep the book as much as it is fiction, still in line with the Bible, I may change my approach to Gabriel. Cheers." | |
