Athena 

Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, war, the arts, industry, justice and skill. She was the favorite child of Zeus and her usual attribute was the owl. She is one of my favourite Greek goddesses so I decided to try to paint my own vision of her :)

Love your attention to detail, especially the great owl and Athena’s grey eyes - also really, really lovely skin coloring - But Why....
.... is she hip deep in water???
.... is she chained by her bracelets???
.... does she have such long hair??? (Beautiful, but wouldn’t fit under her helmet, and don’t think she was blond - she was Greek)
.... does she have long black claws (talons) on her hands???? (She doesn’t become an owl)

This is not the Athena I know from Greek mythology. I know you said it was your own version of her, but this is almost unrecognizable.

:-) Jessie ann moore replies: "Thank you Jeanette 2, I did want to create a completely new version I realise it differs from how some would perceive her but in my mind she has always been blonde. I wanted it to seem as though she had escaped from mount Olympus as she was a god of the arts which I wanted to show Art as being wild and untameable. I know it is a little far fetched lol "
