This is my interpretation an idea my son had, whose permission I have to use the concept. Since he was my inspiration for this piece I would like to dedicate it to him, because without him it would not have come to be.

It's very cute! I love the vibrant colors!

:-) Nadine Gruly replies: "Thanks for the nice comments =) You mention the vibrant colors, truth be known, I don't really know exactly what the colors look like while I am workin on these pieces...the gamma on my monitor at home is slightly off, so I have to send the stuff to work or have someone else look at it to make sure the colors aren't blinding hehe =) !"

Great job! Your a wonderful artist!

:-) Nadine Gruly replies: "Well, he really thought of the idea and well, the way it turned out really shows how I feel about him. I am glad you liked it, it has turned out to be one of my favorite pieces =) "

Awww! So cute. Really great form on this one. The sun sitting almost in the midst of the arc of the mother's neck... perfect. And those expressions just make you want to huggle them both. Very beautiful colors!

:-) Nadine Gruly replies: "Well thanks for the nice comments! The real credit should go to my son =) I just ran with his idea =) When I was finished with it I really took a long look at their expressions and I think it personifies the idea of unspoken love.Glad you liked it =) "

I have to say that I like the colors as well and the composition. How did you do the clouds? I have a cg painting that I want to have clods in, and these looks really good.

:-) Nadine Gruly replies: "Actually Frida, the background is just a gradient and the clouds were done with the dodge tool in paintshop pro and softened using another option under the smudging brush. Very simple to do. Glad you liked it and thanks for the comments 2"

It really is charming, Deenie. The background is a beautiful accent. Gram asks every time she sees the one Danny drew for her, "What is that? Is it mine? Who made it? You mean MY Danny?"

1 Nadine Gruly replies: "Glad that she likes it so much. Nobody else would appreciate it the way she does and I knew that and that was why I gave it to her."
