| 18 Sep 2003 | Frida Månsson Bergholtz | Loading...oh that first dance thing everybody does, god knows why .The texture of the hair looks very life like. His eyes looks good to. The picture would look even better if you shortened his forehead a bit. That would ruin the hair though. Nadine Gruly replies: "I always wondered why everybody dances over having the first comment too...anyway, glad you like this one. I tried to capture this character several times and this is the closest that I have been able to get so far. Its also probably the best male I have drawn in a long time...Got so used to drawing females I forgot how to draw a man. Thanks for the encouragement and suggestions. " | |
| 6 Dec 2003 | Maya R. Hirschman | Loading...This is a very stylish portrait. I really like his face, the elogation is very elegant. His forehead looks fine to me, hair or otherwise. Using the colour in his eyes makes them stand out very nicely. One thing I would suggest is that the lines in the neck should come together more like a V than away from each other. They would meet almost at the collarbone. Nadine Gruly replies: "This one was recently redone and I should have noted that when I reposted it. I changed his forhead and smoothed the pic out alot. It is close to what I wanted to achieve but it really still doesn't do that ranjah (ranger) justice.I appreciate the constructive criticism and I will keep that in mind if I decide to redo it again Thanks for the input " | |
| 10 Dec 2003 | Frida Månsson Bergholtz | Loading...You did a wonderful job redoing this, It looks much better, and I really like the green you added to the eyes, it looks great. I think Maya is right about the lines on the neck though but I understand if you don´t want to change it again. I am glad you could use my advice. Nadine Gruly replies: "He had the most beautiful crystal clear green eyes I have ever seen....and the rest of it is less important to me.... but I will fix his neck at some time in the future. Thanks for the comment." | |
