Finally, my first ever Drow! I hope I did them justice. This was also a new style for me, I used Prismacolor markers, and colored pencils for this one, I am new to the marker scene but I like the effect that can be achieved. This was a heavily influenced piece inspired by the writings of R.A. Salvatore in the Forgotten Realms series.

Looks pretty good. Some proportion issues with the hands there but generally well done. Nice work on the color, though Drow aren't often portrayed with bright colours a little individual style is always nice to such a uniformally cast subject. First comment...ah yeah.

Hm. As to the comment above...Yes, a member of the Drow family does have black skin. As for this women, maybe she is of mixed races. -Shrugs- Just a thought.

Nice colors on the blade. And I love the white hair, very pretty.

Aries.

I think it's a wonderful piece of art. I love the colours, I personally think the dark brown skin fits her very well. People usually say that Drows have black skin but in D&D world, in Lodoss for example they look like yours. Is like if now people start to say that all the high elves should have black hair and not blonde because D&D says that. So it's your style and nobody can change that (and I must to say that is pretty cool!). Keep the good job ^^

I like her. 2 There is quite the debate on whether the drow have black or brown skin. Some official FR art (Drizzt books ect) have the black, some (the Windtalk series) has brown like this one. Very nice job with the shadows too. 2

Wow, lovely job on the details and colors! I am pretty new to the marker scene myself, but I love them! After a few times, you will get the hang of it, I'm sure. Lovely job! Keep up the great work~!

A beautiful piece. As you said the character is based on the works of R.A. Salvatore, whose Drow are based in the Forgotten Realms, the skin really should be black as ink, but it's not always easy to use that color and make details stand out. I'd like to see another version of this with truly black skin, but I like it on its own, too. Thanks so much for sharing!
