This is Sarah Billson's character Mikail from her book. Check out her gallery for more characters from the story. Mikail is 'The Dragonblood' and is packing super tough scales on his face and arms making his skin so hard he doesn't need armour... that's one tough hombre! Done in HB mechanical pencil.

Update: just made it a bit darker..

Omg, did he just see his reflection on the sword. Well after spending too much time on the battle field he can’t expect to see Fabio or something

:-) Andy Guest replies: "Comment from the Ends of my mind: Yep, no one likes to see themselves first thing in the morning... why do you think the sword's cracked?"

WAAAAHRRRRRRRGGGH!!! Oh he looks like a fierce guy, doesn't he? His expression is to die for... and one might even end up doing that once they smell his stinky breath! I love his shiny sword with the inscription. What does it say, I wonder? ^_^ Your pencil work never fails to impress! I can only hope to be as good with pencils as you are some day!

:-) Andy Guest replies: "Comment from the Lime Green Speedos: Stinky breath is the weapon of choise for all true heroes, who needs a sword when you can knock a fly off a bucket of crap from 30 yards? The runes on the sword mean nothing unfortunately, unless I've subconsciously picked up Runeish somehow... If I did it means "Whallop!" I reckon. Cheers Sydney!"

That dude just needs a skull to split open and a half naked ( or fully naked ) chick at his side!

:-) Andy Guest replies: "Comment from the Kingpin: Fully... I think we both know that fully is the way forward. What's she doing stood there naked? Who cares!"

Wa hay!! That's my guy right there! *collapses in a fit of sporadic giggling only to be kicked by a purple pig with an intense look of disgust on it's face*

Ouch!

Andy, you're the best! *hugs Mikail* You made him look so cool and badass.... and I already said this and more... so I sound like some sorta parrot. Hopefully a green parrot... they're the cutest.

And to you, Jallow... he's not supposed to be Fabio!! I think pretty boys are sissies, and Mikail's not a sissy! So therefore he's not a pretty boy.. oh well. He's not winning any Miss America awards.

:-) Andy Guest replies: "Comment from the Great Wall of Turnip: I was actually contemplating putting a Miss Wales sash around him but unfortuantely I got done for copyright so couldn't... swine! Purple swine at that! Hang on, I thought I'd eaten that little porker!... you seem to have a whole legion of the funny coloured snorters... hmmm... might be time for me to leave then... *starts backing off toward the safety of the toilet...*"

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!ARRRRGRARRRRRR! What a guy eh? love the sowrd, it looks all battered, I hate it when people draw battle-hardened (not in that way...) warriors with brand new shiny swords with not a single dent to be seen! Yet again the detail astounds me, I think my eyebrows just crawled away to die in a hole somewhere at the brilliance of your detail! I miss my eyebrows.......

:-) Andy Guest replies: "Comment from the Sewage Cleaner: Battle hardened eh? Well, he does quite enjoy it yes... Here you can share my eyebrow, I've got more than enough to go round. You might have to shave out that small family of Albanians who have set up home in it first but it should be alright... and if it doesn't fit you can always use it as a wolf pelt... Marvelous!"

Great attention to detail. I wish you hadn't run out of paper and cut his legs off though. Wonderful drawing.

:-) Andy Guest replies: "Comment from the Mongaron: Legs are for weeds! Real men have stumps... Cheers Brian!"

Hehe... looks like he's yelling at the sword! "I'm gonna ask you one more time!" ^.^

:-) Andy Guest replies: "Comment from the Keema Naan: Damned psychosis!"
