Oh that's beautiful! It seems to be so peaceful but at the same time it makes you think about death and new life what somehow makes it melancholic. Great choice to draw it in sepia - it intensifies the mood.

This photo is the perfect circle of life when put with the little girl and the butterfly out of the cucoon. You should put the two pictures together to show the significants of the child that is no longer in the woom and the butterfly that is changed from a previous part of life. Wonderful art work.

I really like the idea of adding the butterfly crisalis (sp?) it really ties the picture together, an expecting mother and a soon-to-be butterfly =)
the serenity in the mother’s face really shows through as well.
