Translucent figure of a youthful wind standing before a castle in a tree bending breeze. Or is he the breeze?

To me, it seems that he is steeling hiself for something... Gives me the chills looking at it... I love the coloring!

A very beautiful picture. My only problem with it is that your main character is very stiff. His body language says that he's either very angry or he's been startled by something...which is kinda contradicting to what your trying to convey. My suggestion is to try and put some bend into his legs, maybe separate them a bit, and maybe give his arms a little motion as well. I would think that if he's part of the wind, his body would be flowing with it as well. You've captured it in his hair you just need to continue that on through his body. Other than that, you've done a marvelous job capturing the mood of a windy day.

:-) Kathi A.H. Day replies: "Thank you. The stiffness is supposed to be him holding himself in place against the breeze. Or at least, that's how I imagine it. 2"

Even with all the tints (colors mixed with white) the painting is still sharp and even though the images are standing still, there is still dynamic movement. Nicely done.

:-) Kathi A.H. Day replies: "So those are tints? I guess that most of my painting both on and off the computer is done in tints then, I always find myself going heavy on the white paint when I'm mixing. Interesting to know a name for that habbit."

very nice pic, the thing i like about this kind of art is that anything is possible, like those swirls happening in his hair, which in real life probably wouldn’t look like that. love it
