	A tiny faerie dragon sleeping in a walnut shell bed inside it's home in a hollow tree. Where is the line between painting and illustration? Another painting drawn first in pencil and then colored over and under on the computer.

23 Apr 2006	Enola	Loading... This is great! I love the colours and the little drag is sooo cute, the detail is amazing, only the scales must have taken hours! Whe I look at it, I think it's obvvious how much care and effort you put into this pic Kathi A.H. Day replies: "Oh.. now I feel lazy. The patterns of the scales are pebble textures applied so that they modify the tone of the color. I think the picture took about two days of coloring, it's been awhile since then. But I'd never have made it through if I were shading and highlighting each scale individually."
11 May 2009	Elizabeth S Hanninen	Loading... LOL, the line between painting and illustration doesn’t exist if the illustration is a painting. However typically illustrations exist to tell a story, as in this case. Very cute little dragon/fairy. I wonder what the feathers are for, but they are a nice addition.
