Ooh what a beautiful Winged Creature Greg! Love the pose and that look... very sultry with all that red too! Wonderful work.

18 Greg Vilton replies: "Thank you for stopping by my EW gallery again, Mary!
I've experimented several new techniques with this pic... It was really good fun and I'm glad to read that you like it! "

Oooh, pretty! I love how soft and delicate she looks. It might look better if you repeated the blue shade somewhere, though, or made it greener... It kind of throws you off compositionally. Good job!

16 Greg Vilton replies: "Thanks for commenting, Jennifer!
Actually I am in the habit of NEVER adding or altering things on a pic once I consider it is finished -mainly for fear of spoiling something...
However, I think I understand what you mean... Your 'bother' may be due to the omnipresent red colour. Well, perhaps I love vibrant and warm colours a bit TOO much sometimes!"

I love this Greg, your handling of watercolours is superb.

13 Greg Vilton replies: "  Thanks a lot for the compliment, Steph!
Don't know if your remember but I've kept an old promise with this pic!I told you a couple of months ago in a reply *see my guestbook* that I would sooner or later paint a fantasy character in watercolours. It's much 'later' than 'sooner' *LOL* but well... now it's done! "

Yes, I agree with Cristina. She is cute and looks soooo innocent. Very beautiful painting with marvellous colours.

1 Greg Vilton replies: "Thank you SO much, Anneke! It's always a pleasure to read your wonderful comments. Once again, you've made my day!"

She is very nice, Greg. I love the transparency in her wings 2

12 Greg Vilton replies: "  Thanks, Cristina! Glad to see that you've noticed this transparency effect 2. Wings are precisely part of the experiments I did while I was painting this pic *see my comment above* and I have to say that I'm quite satisfied with the result..."

You did a great job, Greg! I wonder though, has she been a bit naughty? She looks like she's having a pout. *winks*

11 Greg Vilton replies: "Ahah! Perhaps she is a bit naughty! Who knows?! ;-)
Actually, I wanted her to have a mischievous looking, but I'm ready to accept each interpretation! LOL
Thank you for your comment, Alison!"

Just how do you get the transition tones?? Mega use of water-colour Greg :^)

18 Greg Vilton replies: "  Thanks a lot for stopping by my gallery, Mike! Your visit is a great and very nice surprise!!

[...] Thank you for your nice comment as well! I would have been more than happy to reply to your question, if I had understood it!! ROFL ;-)What do you mean by 'transition tones'?"

Love the red and green. I also love the little sparkles as well as the expression on her face. She looks very shy...despite the bikini. 1

Awesome dragon fly-esque wings. 2

Lovely...Im impressed by the wings and she has such a sweet look 18...
4 Aug 2009:-) Jeanette M Thomas
The flowers appear to be wild roses (5-petaled and with rose hips) which are usually white. Possibly you made them red to go with the background and costume. Perhaps white flowers would have balanced out beter, but it is an enchanting picture just the way it is.
