It did take a lot of detailing before I got it just the way I wanted it to look. ^_^"
| 22 Sep 2002 | Ethereal` | Loading...Oh, sword! I love swords! I like this one especially, its pretty. I want a sword like it...Wish I'd have went shopping today, I could have gotten a sword or dagger, but my family went to church and I slept in, whee. I like your art, its cute! I use cute loosely, it means cool, but caffeine is fun. Alex Hakobian AKA Avaz replies: "Ermm... Riiiight. I can see someone has gotten jolted from caffiene already. And it's still not noon! lol Thanks though too. ^_^" | |
| 24 Sep 2002 | Jacie (Jace) A. Everdell | Loading...Ooooooh, I like your sword. Beautiful design, It looks like a comfortable grip too. The balance might be off a bit were it real, but i like it anyway. Helps that it has green gems, my most Fav color in the world ^__^ Alex Hakobian AKA Avaz replies: "Thanks! You really think it would be off balance? Hmm. I don't know why, but then again, I'm not a sword scientist or anything, hehe. ^.^; Green for me is second on my fav colors, only beaten by blue ^__^;" | |
| 3 Dec 2002 | Liz Bee | Loading...Amazingly done! I've been trying to tinker around with Photoshop, but haven't had enough time to really play. How did you do the gems like that?!?! They're incredible! Alex Hakobian AKA Avaz replies: "I'm actually rather proud of the technique I used for the gems. I made up the technique myself! ^_^ First, I made the oval with the marquee tool, then painted the inside green, then dodged the upper left corner with a small round brush, and burned the bottom right corner with same brush.. Then I applied a mosaic texture to it. Then went back and smudged it around in circles. if you do it right, this effect will be achieved. I am seriously impressed at how well it came out ^____^Thanks for the comment too!" | |

Those drawings in my Loth are photoshop, and I still haven't figured out how to shade. Much luv, Ms. Cantshadeifherlifedependedonit Alex Hakobian AKA Avaz replies: "Dear Ms. Can'tshadeevenifherlifedependedonit, I totally taught myself how to do everything you see here. Plus, I'll be taking Photoshop classes at school later in the year too, so then my skills will truly be l33t ^_^ w00t"
| 17 Jun 2003 | Kelley A. Flanagan | Loading...OoO I like the way the jewels turned out, very nice. Alex Hakobian AKA Avaz replies: "Thanks Kelley, that's the one aspect that I am wholly proud of. XD</a></i>" | |
| 26 Feb 2004 | Faith D. Doerr aka Lerune | Loading...Afterthought: I love the slim, sleek look of the blade. Alex Hakobian AKA Avaz replies: "Yeah, the gradient on only one side really makes the metallicism show. Yay for new word, metallicism ^_^" | |
| 26 Feb 2004 | Faith D. Doerr aka Lerune | Loading...Okay, so this is my new favorite. ^_^ I love every detail from the flow of the blade to the texture of the jewelled hilt! And, they are even emeralds! (Like my eyes...lol) Alex Hakobian AKA Avaz replies: "I'm glad you like it so much. Surprisingly, the emeralds took the longest time to do. You'd be surprised, but it's not exactly easy to render something and make it look like a shiny jewel. *huggles Photoshop's Undo command* Without it, I'd never have gotten anywhere " | |
| 16 Jun 2004 | Carla Lee | Loading...Pretty! I want one! I really really love the emeralds encrusted on the swords design, and the patterns on the handle. And the steel looks all shiny and so...steely *___* *admires* Alex Hakobian AKA Avaz replies: "I impressed myself with how well it came out too. Thanks for dropping by! ^_^" | |
