Updated new image, with Adobe Illustrator 10 - 9/19/02.

Although this is -still- an incomplete map, I did manage to get a rough draft-style version finished, and viola! ^_^

Map making is tough... I never know where to start... And when i do, i get really detailed, then give up halfway through... The paper wrinkles sure add to that old effect, although the lined paper and ballpoint pen ruin that 12

:-) Alex Hakobian AKA Avaz replies: "I appreaciate your comment, and agree about the pen-ruin factor. Let me say that I do have plans to revamp this map, because to me, it seems quite empty. I shall be adding towns, forests, etc. some time in the future, yet I will not forget to use the same wrinkles in the paper that so many of my friends have also commented on as adding an "old" effect."

That's really cool..I like the texture effect in it. ^-^; and the trees and rocks and stuff...very nice!

:-) Alex Hakobian AKA Avaz replies: "I am heavily surprised with the way this one came out. Although I still have a lot more to add to it too. Thanks 2"

I really like this map, it seems different from the other pixelated ones I see around the 'Woods. It may just be the texture but I get a very mappy feeling from this, very nice. 2

:-) Alex Hakobian AKA Avaz replies: "Thanks Aaron. 2 I like the way it came out so far. There's still a LOT of redoing it needs, like additional towns and such, but Illustrator turns out to be pretty good for getting effects like this. .. Though personally, if I had it scanned on real paper, I would have crumpled it up some, to give it an authentic map texture. ^^"

Oh, I love this! Kinda looks like a map that you would use in some Gameboy game. It's cool. You did a wonderful job on this, must have been hard.

:-) Alex Hakobian AKA Avaz replies: "Thank you Annalee. It was actually my first attempt at using Illustrator. I think I learned pretty fast! ^_^ yaay 10"

*grabs one of the tiny trees portrayed on the map*
*eats it*
YUM!! *begins eating your map* Yay, it's so good! (looks, not taste) Yay for maps! (maps h8e me, so I can't critique)

:-) Alex Hakobian AKA Avaz replies: "Apparantly, they dun like me vey much either, cuz this one still isn't complete. *sigh*"

I love the textured effect -- wonderfully done. Is this going to be a map of anywhere in particular? *thinks of your Wyvern shelf*

13 Alex Hakobian AKA Avaz replies: "Indeed, the wyvern shelf that no longer exists. :/But yes, that was the original plan. But after learning newer tricks and stuff, and coming up with a WAY more kickass map, I think I'll be adopting a new land to call my own for my characters. XD"
