Halley is a somewhat sane high school student who cannot keep idle when there's a pencil in a her hand, paper on her desk, and an image in her mind.

What can I say? I love art. Any form of it. Particularly drawing. I have been drawing for as long as I can recall, beginning with coloring on walls and scribbling in books while I was a baby. Due to a certain experience, which I prefer not to go into, that I went through when I was three, I was left traumatized for about two or three years. After that experience, for almost a decade I utterly despised the human race (and I'm still at times embarrassed to be a human, though not nearly as much), and my art took a turn for solely animal subjects. In fact, only within the past three years have I begun to willingly draw humans, although I almost always throw in horns, wings, or anything else that I feel seems fit. Now, at 15 years old, most of my drawings are based on dragons, gryphons, demons, or creatures of my own creation (which often causes my friends to wonder about me...). My practice comes from all the classwork and tests I have been doodling on since the third grade, though I often am in trouble for not paying attention in class and for turning in papers that do not fit my teachers' definitions of 'neat'. I will try to include as many of my works as I can on this site, but I warn you, be patient. There are a TON of them, my scanner is evil, and I can't resist taking the time to adjust each picture to my liking in Adobe Photoshop. Plus, I have to slap on my logo (which my dad convinced me to include). Note: Compliments on my work are great, but that's not what I'm looking for. Criticize it! Please! I need to know which areas I should most improve in.

Yeah, I used to hate humans, but then I took magic mushrooms. Now I hate the human race and all that it has done to the world, but I like humans. Im a much happier, more colourful person now.

Don't hide. Yes humans are flawed and yes I may not understand your problem, but I only wish that you find true happiness. I myself even hate me because of my human emotions and actions, but life isn't fair. It was never ment to be. Your work it wonderful. Keep up the good work.

Hey,I love your art. BUT....
Pipe up on the realism.
A little bit of studying an art anatomy book would help tons.
I promise it would help.

Wow, you've got some nice artwork here. I personally like pictures of monsters are better than humans, because I see humans every day. Keep up the great work.

All of you other people that have posted here are too busy telling her to love the human race with love and care...bull. She can do whatever she wants, love the human race or not. I personally agree with her, but that is not the point. So, if we're all done complaining about her choice of personality, let's move on to talk about her artwork. Ms. Ross, I think your artwork is great, but you could try and improve more on your detail. What you have right now, shades, etc, is fine, but it doesn't do justice to your work. Your postions and feet are good, but still have room for improvement. Your version of the gryphon is, in my opinion, very interesting. The porportions can still use work, making sure the wings match the head, which matches the back, etc. Also, you should try using more varieties of color. Instead of a solid, vary it a bit, making, for example, the hind legs of something darker than the front, and the belly and chest the lightest. One last thing before I leave. Work on lighting. Draw a background, and then work on how the light falls on the cerature in the picture. Shadows and darkened spots help draw the eye to the main points. Hope I helped.

I love your work. It reminds me of a friend I had. Your name wouldn't by chance be her would you? Jessica was her name.
