SciFi and Fantasy Art Firebird (or: Phoenix, take 2!) by Roxanne Hancock


	Using some suggestions from commentors on my 'Phoenix' picture, (thanks to Liu Yiqing!!) I did this. It took an embarrasingly short time to create. It almost feels....cheap! But thank you all for your comments.....which pic do you like better? (reuploaded 9/30/07 to make watermark a bit more subtle!)

2 Aug 2002	Nathan Neil Phillips	Loading... Well, the Pheonix picture is more easily seen because of how it frames the picture. The Firebird blends into its self a little bit, but once you look closer, it really draws you in. It also fills the space better than the Pheonix picture does. I like them both. 8 Sep 2002	Annie thatcher --smokey--	Loading... i like both ^_^ but if i only have to pick one for a phoenix i would choose this one.. the other one is nice but it looks more purdy ((like a birdie)) then a phoenix ^_~ phoenix=cool bird=purdy theres my opinion hehe still love both pics.. ^_^ adores the way you use photoshop n stuff
18 Jul 2003	Laura 'Katsie' Yardeen	Loading... This is a very beautiful picture. I made as my portrait for a game I play called Furcadia and I have gotten many compliments for it (of course I do not claim it as mine! >.<.
17 Mar 2006	Anonymous	Loading... this is a lot better than phoenix #1. The only thing I'm not crazy about is, the pointed flame above its eye, looks like a beak. So to me the neck looks like its really distorted. Of course that same flame could be an ear, and thus it would be missing its beak - but the neck would appear to be more natural and less broken. Still pretty good though.
