| 12 Apr 2002 | ´Taika´ Tuuli Aarniala | Loading...Heck this is just great!!!! *lol* ...and the mood is exellent... I myself really just can't draw black pictures, I have no seeing in that. Well, The colors are brilliant too. Hope everyone will pay. *g* that reminds me of a friend who hasn't paid her debt yet. And it was much!!! like 250 euros... Don't worry Jonna, you're in no hurry... really. *g* ..and visit my gallery when it comes online? ^_^ YIP! *whispers from shadows when exits the flames bright light:* "You shuold upload pictures done whit 'real' media too? would like to see 'em... *g* Roxanne Hancock replies: "Gee, I hope you get your euros back And you do bring up a good point, unfortunately I don't have a lot of "real media" work for two reasons. 1, I live in an artisically dead area of (cold, rainy, windy) Pennsylvania, USA, so there's no real point in me spending a lot of money on the material because no one will see it. And 2, real media is just so messy it gets on my nerves. But you can see one or two pencil drawings within my homepage, also my fanart has one or two pencil drawings minimally altered in Photoshop. Hope that's OK Also, I've seen your gallery. I've left some things on there...it's lovely!!" | |
| 26 Apr 2002 | Charles Adams Fowler | Loading...Wow... very excellent... not just the image itself, but the execution... the flame/flame hair stuff, not to mention it's not just a guy standing there, he's actually doing something! Did you use some kind of filter for the flame? awesome thanks Roxanne Hancock replies: "Nope! No filter...that is all the Smudge tool and transparent layers. I really should have spent more time on this...but o well. Thanks! " | |
| 5 May 2002 | Cally G. Steussy | Loading...Wow. I'm impressed. I especially love his hair - it looks like a lost wisp of flame in the darkness. *blink blink* (That was actually rather poetic... GAH! I've been writing too much...)
Now for the critique. :-P One normally should be careful of letting one's cloak billow dramatically when there is an open flame around - cloth = flammable. His leg also is a bit lacking in definition... and he apparently only has one. :-P Even if he were standing perfectly perpendicular to us, we should be able to see just a hint of the rest of him.
Other than those two things... WOW! Who did what to tick him off?
| 17 May 2002 | Andy 'Mantis Boy' Hoover | Loading...Well. I'm not sure about the last comment. I was seeing this as a highly stylized expression of an emotion. Vengeance perhaps? Anyhuu, his back and right side simply aren't lit by the fire. It's an extremely dark night. For a pop culture example watch the batman cartoons.
Oh! I like the face and the hair.
