This is a dragon warrior woman I drew a few years ago.  She doesn't really have a story or a name.  This was done in colored pencils and Sharpie, and edited on the computer.  The hedges in the background were "clone" and edited with a paint progam to fill in where I had cut out the image.

the detail is good, but her anatomy has lots of mistakes 16 i can see that this is an old drawing 2

:-) Hannah Rogers Robertson replies: "Thanks for commenting. I don’t really see any anatomical problems... would you care to point out what and where they are?"

Wow look at all the detail of the armor, It’s very awesome. And some nice colouring as well.

her hands are WAY WAY to skinny and slim 16... a warrior always has bulky though hands since he uses them to wield its massive weapons of war or in other cases fight in hand to hand combat (not to mention that her finger are extremely weird 16). Also her hips are...well to tilted towards the viewer...it would be kinda of a uncomfterble pose for a normal human. Also her feet don’t seem quite the right size and proportions in comparation with the rest 16... well this is rather hard to see anyway 16. Also i think her torso should be a little farther for her hips 16...well this can pass 10. I see she also has no breasts 12 cause even if you did say she does but they are hidden by the arm and such...well the armor’s construction says otherwise 12 Also remember when applying armor such as metal and leather or multiple lairs of such they don’t look like tattoos on the skin 12 look at her knee protectors... they make it look like she has no knees 16... conclusion=> body must look bulkier and you must draw a line somewhere at the end of the armor to suggest or show the fact that what she is wearing is actually something that is protecting her 12 the shoulder armor for example is good 12 also see how you draw her tail and dragon appendices cause that tail seemed like a part of her armor at first... or even a bow 16. She has many irregularities as in some pieces of her seem close to the viewer while other afar when they should be both either afar or close or somewhere in the middle 12 the 3D aspects 12
i think i got the all... 16 or the most important ones 2

Mr. Maladin - So, according you, the entire drawing just sucks? You seem to have a tendency to over-nitpick that I wonder if you’ll never be satisfied with a single piece of artwork. I do agree with the issues of her hands and the fact that her legs are facing at a wrong angle. However, warrior women would not have large breasts and hers are hidden under the armor. She is a slender woman with a small frame and a flat chest. The top frame of the armor widens up at the top and comes over what little breasts she has. It is something that is not even showing in the picture, therefore impossible to say it’s drawn incorrectly. There ARE "lines" on the edges of the armour and it IS drawn slightly raised off the skin. For your information, it IS a bow and the dragon elements ARE part of her armour. I appreciate critques, but I just find it annoying when it comes to someone nitpicking the little details to death. I’ve seen pieces by even professional artists that have some tiny flaws. No one is perfect and every piece must be allowed their small flaws..........

Mr. Maladin - .......I prefer to agree with Elfwood’s Jessica "Neon Dragon" Peffer who said "Art is about making spiffy pictures!" When we critique someone’s art, we need to also realize that just because some part of it doesn’t particularly suit OUR fancy, doesn’t mean it’s WRONG. I’ve seen your critiques around Elfwood and, no offense to you, but I’m not a fan of your style of criticism. I think we as artists, should strive not only to be modest and repsectful, but try to nuture budding artists and encourage them, even when we do critique, and spend as much time teaching them what they SHOULD do and what their good points are rather than only focusing on what is WRONG about all of their work. We also should strive to be careful in the manner of which we critique so as not to give the budding artist little hope in improving or to cause them a feeling of worthlessness or cause them to give up altogether. That said, I thank your for your time, and as I said, I do agree their are some flaws. 2 Well wishes.

Hmph..I agree with you "Banana".12 I think the critique was way too harsh and it was wrong in many parts. Like what tail did he mean? I can see no tail..And what’s with the "armor looks like a tattoo" comment? I SO disagree with that. It does NOT look like a tattoo! Maybe he thought that the tattoo in her arm is clothing.12 Heh hee..Also I see no problems with her breasts, they’re just small which is suitable for a warrior woman.
Good and friendly critique is good because then you concentrate on those flaws better next time but that kind of nitpicking like you said is just mean and negative.8

Anyway..X) What I really wanted to say is that I like the atmosphere of this one, dark, gloomy and depressing too. The dark coloring suits very nicely and I like the "dragon theme" in her armor. You’ve also chosen very good colors. They fit together. Also, I like the dark sky. It makes the atmosphere even better.^^ Oh and the shading is really good and the black lines make it stand out even more.

BTW the Panther logo/icon thing is so cute. ^^

:-) Hannah Rogers Robertson replies: "Thank you for your support! I will accept criticism but not bullying, you know? Glad you like this one! 2"

I really like this! She stands out so well against the background and the shadow underneath her is also v good. I can’t believe you put two images together, they fit so well, you can’t tell that one is cut out and put on top. The shading is also very very good. I don’t agree with her being too skinny or out of proportion. Not all women look the same! I would expect a warrior woman to have muscular arms and legs and a skinny, flat stomach as well as a flat chest. If you look at a lot of sportswomen, you can see this body shape. In fact, this picture is probably more accurate than most "warrior women" pics (which usually focus a lot on the breasts! Not that they’re bad pics or anything). I usually give a few criticisms in my comments and also some good points so I feel like I’m helping other artists. I won’t give you any criticisms as I feel you have enough already! 1

I like her armour and how its pink. I also really like her sword. Normally I’m a fan of digital art but sometimes I like old fashioned pencils, because it adds so much texture to the drawing.
