I've been writing fantasy fiction since the time I could pick up a pencil and write. From this, I've gone through at least ten different drafts of my favorite story, Harael. I am also working on a more modern-day fantasy entitled Tear (as in to rip or shred). One of the main characters is a garden gnome named Brock (a pun, for those of you who read Norse mythology). You can also find me at writers-bbs.com, where I post most of my poetry.
InterestsAs far as books go, I love anything by my favorite author, Neil Gaiman. A friend introduced me to his work and I haven't been able to stop reading it since. I also enjoy J.R.R. Tolkien (who doesn't?) and the "Mists of Avalon" series.
I also enjoy playing X-box when I'm bored, or writing poetry and fiction so I can sift through the crap from treasures, in a manner of speaking.
Favorite Fantasy/Scifi Movies and TV ShowsMy favorite fantasy TV show is either Moonlight (vampire story, for those of you who don't watch it), or Firefly (which they cancelled). I've been trying to get a hold of Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere BBC television series, but so far everyone's outbid me on eBay.
Favorite Fantasy/Scifi BooksI sort of mentioned this above, but I suppose any fantasy/mythology story you ask me about, I've probably read. Some I enjoyed. Others made me puke. (gak! Harry Potter!)
Favorite MusicI like a wide variety of music. Lately, I've been listening to bands such as the Dropkick Murphys, Blind Guardian, Elvenking, Rage Against the Machine, and the Beatles. If you've never heard of the first three I mentioned, I highly recommend them to fantasy lovers. Blind Guardian is the rock opera group who put J.R.R. Tolkien's "Silmarillion" to music (successfully).
