Oh, I forgot! Thanks again for fixing the white background on "Nigel" - the dragon. How did you do it? It was very nice of you. Hélène Bruneton
replies: "You're very welcome! This dragon is really great. I used several tools in Photoshop. Contrast and brightness to make the backgournd whiter, and then the eraser set on 30-40% to clear the upper right corner and erase the greyish areas in the corners."

I love your gallery, full of my favourite characters (Granny weatherwax, dragons, the Morrigan and Nac Mac Feegles in the same gallery!). You are an amazing illustrator, and it's great to see someone who can do brilliant characters AND amazing landscapes. Really inspirational. Hélène Bruneton
replies: "Wow, thank you very much! I'm very glad you enjoyed this gallery, and very flattered by your comment. And it's great that we share an interest for the same characters "

I love your style. I can't quite put my finger on it but your art is simply amazing.
I don't think I've seen anyone on this site with the mastery of watercolours. Thank you Hélène Bruneton
replies: "Thanks a lot! I'm really glad you liked Though I'm sure there's plenty of very talented watercolourists around Elfwood - certainly better than me!"

You have a great grasp of watercolors, I find them to meddlesome to my taste, but am always awed by the people that can pull it off with such style. Hélène Bruneton
replies: "Thank you! I think I love watercolours - even though they're not always easy to control. I love this calligraphy feel you can get, and also the way you have to just let the light be in the painting..."

I really love your trees. Each one comes out as it's own being! Hélène Bruneton
replies: "Thanks a lot! I'm glad you liked them. You know, trees are what I doodle in boring reunion meetings, and they sure end looking more alive than a lot of my colleagues..."

Everybody must absolutely visit this gallery ! You are a great talented artist. I especially love your landscapes. Your Nac Mac Feegle is really funny*. And your witches will be among the best I ever send to my son's wife (who collects them).
(*J'ai failly écrire "fanny"... lapsus révélateur en hommage à la Provençale !)
