  | Nuntisiwas the Dreamreaver appears as the bad guy in the storyline for New England block of the Rage CCG. Rage is based on the Werewolf: the Apocalypse RPG. He was offered as a tournament prize at DragonCon 2001 and was exhibited at the White Wolf Game Studios booth. The water effect was done by leaving a hollow in the base and filling that in with fine sand, pressed into the ApoxieSculpt base while it was setting. Then I painted the rest of the sculpture. I put a chunk of mirror in the hollow and put a piece of plastic wrap on that. I then painted directly over the reflection in the mirror with very light coats of acrylics. I then took the mirror out and poured in a goodly quantity of Elmer's Washable School Glue Gel, which is this slightly bluish stuff that dries almost crystal clear. Let that set. Then trimmed down the little piece of painted plastic wrap and laid it on top of the glue. Then poured several more layers of glue and let them set so the 'reflection' appeared to be floating just below the surface, like a real reflection. Sculpture is ApoxieSculpt. Painted in acrylic. Real sand used on the base. Nuntisiwas was one of several character I designed for Azrael productions during the period they held the Rage CCG license. I also did the writing for the official storyline at the time. |
