| 24 Sep 2009 | John R Farley Jr | Loading...I know you’ve been here awhile, but welcome to the art side of Elfwood. Jack J Langar replies: "Thank you very much " | |
| 24 Sep 2009 | Carrie E Ott | Loading...Oh, that’s too bad. Yeah, I think if I was in your situation I would do the same thing. Can you drop Delphi or take CAT next year? What was it you wanted to do in college again? Unless you don’t want to say, of course . I do like your blue dragoness, I wonder what she’ll look like now that you say she’s better! Nah, I’m not worried about Skie - he’s tough. He should be able to handle a little line editing Good luck with him...he can have a temper Ah yes, I also meant to ask...you can speak Polish and Afrikaans, right? Jack J Langar replies: "Yea I can drop I.T for CAT next year, and im probably gonna do that ( although there is going to be quite some catching up to do). Oh woops I completely forgot to answer your question !! I was thinking of studying Geology or Aeronautical Engineering, but I think im gonna go for Geology since I hate maths and in engineering you use a lot of it !!. Well the new dragoness that I drew is a completely new and different design. So it doesn’t look anything like the old one, too bad I cant publish it now, I cant find my scanner cable lol XD. Yea I can speak Polish and Afrikaans . Although not very fluently, but I can hold a conversation. Why do ask ?" | |
| 26 Sep 2009 | Carrie E Ott | Loading...Good! Eh, it’s probably a heck of a lot easier to catch up in CAT than Delphi. Ooo, Geology. Interesting. What made you interested in that? I once thought of something like that for myself, but then I discovered my language obsession Don’t blame you for staying away from the math! Speaking of math, I got a 65% on my first Algebra 2 test...blah. I didn’t have time to finish it, so I left half of the test blank. My school has a funny grading system too, so a 65% isn’t like a D, it’s lower than an F-. Grrr. Lol, well I hope you find the cable! That sucks. Anyway, I asked about that because I’m trying to find people who know one of the languages that I need, and I wanted to translate something into Afrikaans. Not at the moment, I still need to decide what phrase I’d like to translate, but I thought that you’d be the one to ask for help when I finally figure it out. Jack J Langar replies: "Well I think I might be doing architecture now, but I still might do geology. A 65 % . . . lower than a F- ?? How the heck is that supposed to make sense lol. So then what is a 50 % or a 40 % ? lol . Well I can find the cable . Sux so much. I also found out that we dont have the bloody drivers for the scanner for my operating system. So im really not sure when I will get everything sorted with the scanner . Well whenever you need translation , im here !! I should also be able to translate it quite accurately since I have Afrikaans dictionaries lying around. Why do you want something to be translated into Afrikaans , if I could ask ?
Anyways I went to rage today. The big gaming expo that South Africa has each year. It was pretty awesome, I also saw a crazy awesome gaming mouse that I think im gonna get, as soon as I get money that is lol. Wow and my brother in laws rich friend took me for a spin in his sports car on the high way. I think the model is a Audi rs4 or something. And woow that thing can accelerate !! We got to around 200km/h in like 3 seconds, it felt bloody awesome lol. I really want a car like that XD."
| 27 Sep 2009 | Chelsea L Pennelly | Loading...oh those bad run away cables. They always are hiding when you need them | |
| 30 Sep 2009 | Chelsea L Pennelly | Loading...you find your cable yet? Jack J Langar replies: "*Sigh* Nope. Not only that but I found out that the scanner drivers probably wont work on my operating system. Hopefully I will be able to get things sorted soon." | |
| 3 Oct 2009 | Carrie E Ott | Loading...Ha, lol! A 50%...well, it’s still an F-, it’s just a lower graded F-. I know, we have a nutty grading scale. 92% is a B , and I guess for most people that’s still an A. Yeah, that really sucks you can’t find the cable. Good luck with drivers and everything! Sounds like no fun. I can’t get my USB storage thingy to work either, so at least I feel your pain a little bit And of course, the USB is where I store my book, which I’m editing for publishers. Ack, I deleted that book on accident like two years ago, so now I have to retype a multi-hundred page book...blah. Thankfully, I had printed it before it was deleted. Still, it’s a pain in the rear.
Oh, why Afrikaans? I think it’s a unique and fairly rare language that most people will never have heard. Not to mention it’s got it’s own special sound to it.
Sweet! I always want to go to an expo someday. Ha ha, don’t you love rich friends Dude, that thing’s fast! My old little car doesn’t even go over 128 k/h. It’s a 1993 Ford Escort, very old but still runs well. Lol, I don’t know if I could drive something like an Audi rs4 - I’m so short I can barely see over the steering wheel (gotta sit on pillows). Maybe a fast car isn’t such a good idea for me lol.
| 11 Nov 2009 | Carrie E Ott | Loading...Hey, how’s everything with you? It’s been a while. Haven’t seen you around here as often, so I kinda figure that Delphi or some such thing is giving you problems. Hope school’s fine! Jack J Langar replies: "Hey Carrie long time no see. I have been studying for exams for the past 7 weeks like hectic every day. I started exams 2 weeks ago and I have about a week left. A lot has happened since the last time I talked to you, and I quickly popped by your profile and wow, I see you have so many new pics up !! I really wish I can look at them now but I have very little time !! I write a 3 hour math exam tomorrow and another 3 hour math exam on Wednesday. I decided to go ahead with engineering in university, so im going crazy studying and trying to get the required marks. ( especially since the exams are 75 % of the total year mark for this year 0_0 ) .
Ill be on a two month holiday in about a week and a half when my exams finish. So Ill be quite active on Elfwood in the holidays "
| 16 Nov 2009 | Carrie E Ott | Loading...Oh, good luck! Yeah, I have put up like 16 new pics. One of them got a Mod’s Choice! I was so excited! Don’t worry about looking at them though, university scores are way more important than a few pics. Wow, 3 hours on math? We usually only spend like an hour and a half. Good to hear that you’ve finally settled on engineering though. Like I said, good luck on all that math stuff! We’re just completing the square of a quadratic equation in Algebra 2 right now, so you’ve got it a lot worse off than I do...Hope everything goes well.
It’s right about now that a two month holiday sounds pretty awesome, am I right?
