This one started out as a submitted description, but I didn't finish this version because I ran out of time. I finished a simpler version instead.

My brother saw this one, I had sent it as a "here is what I was up to", and decided he liked it, so I finished it for him. Now, the original character was a kitsune, and I kept the fox tail ( one of them), but got rid of the ears. Yes, the kimono is an alteration of the traditional costume.

*first comment jig* awesome light.

:-) Jenny M. Heidewald replies: " Thanks! I was experimenting with lighting, firelight/lamplight is hard to get right, in theory it should be a lot darker, but I claim artistic license. 2"

Good job on the collar bone and the shadowing, i agree the light is totaly awesome. Great job! 1

:-) Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Thanks Emily! it is good to hear the collar bone is working right, I always have a hard time with that area, I tend to like putting hair over it, or clothing. 2"

This may sound repetitive but... love the lighting. (: And the face and hair is really well done too.

:-) Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Thank you! Repitition means I got something right, I am glad it is about the light because lighting is hard! 1"

Nice i would love a tail

:-) Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "A tail would be handy when you have a ton of things to carry and only two hands. 2 they actually sell (fake!) tails at conventions these days, seems to be a popular item what with all the folks I saw wandering around with them tied to their behinds."

So beautiful! The coloring gives it a fuzzy feeling. Not in a bad way though. Makes me think of velvet fabric.
I really like her face! 1

:-) Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Thank you! 2 *hmmm* Velvet,... I have always wanted to paint on black velvet, I don’t know why it is considered "trashy"."

Good characterisation and lighting and the softness and sketchiness actually give it a slightly dream-like quality. ~#G

:-) Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Thanks, the fuzzy brushes worked with me for a change. 2"
