SciFi and Fantasy Art Dale´s Birthday card 2004 by Jenny M. Heidewald

Had lots of help from Jack Hamm's 'How to draw animals' book for the kitty. I figured that since a cat is a mammal that it should have bat type wings rather than bird wings, because bats are mammals as well. It's not bad for a 45 minute drawing/painting, I had to get it done before going to work! The flowers in the distance were more successful than I had figured they would be as well, it's amazing that those bits of color that I just blobbed on there look like distant flower bushes! If I could do it again I'd make sure that the streaks of color were less obvious.

Oh well, I guess you'll look hopefully. < I don't know what Possum thinks he is, certainly something other than a cat, I don't know about him being coordinated enough to try and fly though! I am still upset that the PO lost the package I sent, that was a really cool present I had for you and I don't know if I can get another one. Grrr, PO...."
24 Jul 2004	Sofia Carvalho	Loading... What a cute cat!! (I adore cats) The bat wings are very nice too. I also like the background, it gives a feeling of movement to the picture. Overall the colors blend perfectly together. Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Hi there Sofia! I hope your tests are going well! I loved the way it came out with the kitty cat and the little flowers, I was surprised that the little specks of paint really do look like bushes that are just a bit farther away. Amazing what the eye does. Thank you! "
22 Oct 2006	Jenny Velders	Loading... The colours are so sweet... this is really beautiful, I love the cat with the wings, it looks so natural and the flowers are really cute. Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note:Why thank you! I was amazed at how well it turned out, I am so used to putting a whole lot more effort into backgrounds. Hey, if you want a print I have those too, all nicely done up with a mat. ( I would have replied earlier except my comment e-mails were turned off again somehow!)"
