My depiction of Caramon (Dragonlance). I am really proud of this one, considering all the time I slaved over the muscles and shading. After all the time I spent on figuring out the muscles I didn't want to cover it up with clothes. <:)
About Tika : I finally got the finished version scanned, and had to touch it up on the computer because I didn't like how the finished product compared to the one I had up before. I love how her face turned out. I did intentionally do this one, rather than randomly drawing someone and finding out it looks like her! I was having trouble with the skin tone because I didn't have the range of colors I would have liked to have. A cosmetic sponge is great for getting texture for back grounds.
Scottish Humor:When the ferry company in the Western Isles charged reduced rates for vehicles transporting sheep, some customers took advantage of this and took a sheep in the back seat of their car when going to the mainland (and had the same sheep on the way back). Eventually, the company had to change the rules.

Wonderful! I always enjoy seeing DL stuff that's actually good. I was going to attempt Raistlin, but.... I'm just not that good. Haven't decided for myself if the movie rumors are true as they have been circulating for roughly the past 10 years. But (just my two cents, here) I would originally have said that Brent Spiner of StarTrek fame, would have been great as Raistlin, but he's gettin' kinda old now. I heard some funny casting rumors. Anyhow, back to the picture (sorry). Caramon is a bit less clothed than I would have pictured him, being a guy and all, but the muscles and shading are good. Oh, and from one guys point of view, Tika is perfect! She was no skimpy clothes wearin' chick, but she was a looker just the same.

18 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: There doesn't seem to be that much DL stuff in Elfwood, I think I have the most characters of any artist. And don't hesistate to draw the characters, some of the first ones I did weren't that great. <2 I'll always think of Brent Spiner as Data, "Look there is Data in the hologram playing he is Raist!" But he is good for rather out of whack evil-ish characters. 2 As for the clothing situation, not only women get to be skimpily clad (the real reason was he is in Gladiator mode, and I'd worked super hard on the anatomy). 12 Tika was a joy to work on, I tried to get her in the same outfit Larry Elmore used, all those mismatched things. 2 Thank you so much for the wonderful long comment!"

OH!!! TIKA!!!! I LOVE HER!!!!! She is so my favorite character from the DL books!! >.< lol. Though...I like Raistlin more then Caramon, lol, strange, isn't it. Anyway, great job!! =^.~=

1 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Yay! A Tika fan! 2I guess Raist is more interesting than Caramon, I am certain Caramon would drive some of us nuts. <2 Thanks for dropping by!"

i love the muscle structure on caramon! it looks really great! The only thing I have to comment on is the fact that his arms and legs are 2 short. If he put his arms flush with his sides his elbows should come to about the waist and the forearm to fingertips should reach to about mid-thigh. If he curled into a ball his knees should come up to about the collar bone and his heels should come back down to his butt. No offence or nuttin. Just an observation for later reference. Sorry if I confused you with the way I discribed it... Its just the way I taught myself.

I love tika by the way! I loved the part in the book when she smashed in the head of a draconum with her frying pan at the inn... i seriously think that scene needs a picture. 1

6 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Actually what you really mean is his torso is too long/deformed ( at the shoulders)....Much easier to change that one thing than it would be to change four, and yet another thing I might do later when I have the time. I know all of the measurement tricks (except that one about the knees going up to the collar bones when folded), I was trying to get some perspective with the legs, so they are actually coming towards you a bit. With the arm, I was thinking that since his shoulder is lifted it's not going to line up with the waist. if you measuer you'll note that is is the smae length as the one on the other side which is the right length. Obviously, from all of the comments about them, I have failed the perspective stuff. Oh well, I like the shading anyways, and this teaches me that the one book I have is really right, you have to get the torso right before anything else. <2 Thanks for the critic ( I think there is supposed to be an accent mark some where on that word) though!"

Tika was brilliant, absolutely brilliant! Caramon was a little to comical and not muscular enough, though. Oh well.

7 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's note:*bows* Glad you like Tika. 2 I don't see how one could get more muscular with Caramon, I personally hate the comic-booky, extra-bulgy muscles look."

I love your drawings. I am such a fan of DL I couldn't have imagined tika any better. however I always thought Caramon would look good with longer hair.by the way are you going to draw Tanis?

2 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: You are right, Caramon would look good with longer hair. 2 I have drawn Tanis (last year)I have just never gotten around to finishing him properly, I think the sketch is up somewhere on here..*trying to remember* Yes, he is with my Laurana drawing. 2 I think out of all of them that Tika is the one that turned out the best with the least amount of effort. Thank you for the lovely comment!"

You did a great job with the colors on Tika's picture. She has a valiant look that is expressed with bold color.

1 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Ah yes, the bold, fiery Tika, always handy with a frying pan! *suddenly wonders how the helmet stays on with all that curly red hair under it* <2 Thanks for the awesome comment!"

It's very nice to see some more quality art for dragonlance. I don't mean to sound arrogant, but a lot of DL art on Elfwood looks rather childish. You've done a wonderful job here in both color "and" pencil! I love Caramon's gladiator costume, and Tika is very true to the books' description of her. Beautiful!

13 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: My DL art when I first started wasn't that great either, but yeah, I know what you mean. It's funny that even if you do a really great job you still get controversy from some fans. <2 Thanks for popping in and sorry for the late response!"

Your Caramon is terrible! Your Tika is nice!
Caramon looks like sumo-wrestler, and you shame character of Caramon!!! Your Tika is well drawn!

14 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Your comment is wonderful, but it's also terrible! 12 I am glad you like one if not the other. I just have to ask though, have you ever SEEN a sumo wrestler? <2"
