Raistlin is my favorite Dragonlance character (as is true of many of you I'm sure :) ) and this portrait of him is based on Larry Elmore's renditions of the mage. It's one of my favorite drawings that I've done, and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do. [So he looks kind of happy, so? :p]
Scottish Joke:A dog ran into a butcher shop in Dundee and grabbed some sirloin steak off the counter. But the butcher recognized the dog as belonging to a neighbor of his - who happened to be a lawyer. The butcher called up his neighbor and said, 'If your dog stole steak from my butcher shop, would you be liable for the cost of the meat?' The lawyer replied, 'Of course, how much was the sirloin?' The butcher replied 'Seven pounds.' A few days later the butcher received a check in the mail for seven pounds - and an invoice that read 'Legal Consultation Service: 150 pounds.'

Nice job! Raistiln has always been my favourite char in dragonlances and this is one of best pics I have ever seen of him. (sry if my english is bad 'cause i live in finland)

1 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Actually your English is quite good, I've always admired people who can speak more than one language (and English is one of the hardest to master as well, even for some of us growing up with it). I'm honored that you think this one is one of the best you have seen of him, he is a hard character to capture! Thanks!"

Hey! It's Raist!^-^ He never told ME he was Master of Past and Present. 8

:-) Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note:*patpat* You probably wouldn't want to know other things he hasn't told you."

I think you could do better on the face and the eyes. Like make them look more slanted or the way he was after his test. But hey, he might have looked like that before the test. Who knows. I love the staff, makes me think of Palin. Awesome job though.

2 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: I don't know why the hourglass eyes never want to really show in my pictures, maybe because I have to make them so small. he could probably use a make over since this pictutre is several years old, but I have Tanis who is waiting patiently. 2 I could probably make him over into Palin. 2 Thanks for the comment!"

Hello there, if you see some bad spelling... excuse me(I`m from Norway) I must admit its a good picture of Raistlin( Tough I know of a better picture)but its good, I think all raistlin lovers(Like myself)will like it very much.

6 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Woah, I had no idea I had an unreplied to comment floating around from January! I am guessing I did reply but it got lost in the February crash! I know of better Raistlin pictures as well, done by Larry Elmore I think he is the best at Raist. 12 Thank you for your comment!"

Wow. I have to say: this rocks! I've tried to capture Raistlin on paper too many times to count, and all my attempts failed. This is amazing, I love your shading style! Raistlin is my ULTIMATE favourite character from Dragonlance...don't ask me why. #Scratches head.# Anyways... good job! 2

1 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note :*Bows* Thank you so much! I know the frustrations of drawing Raist, it took me many tries before I was happy with any of my attempts. I was surprised that I got two drawings of him looking good (there is a colored one floating around in here as well). Keep working on it, eventually you'll get him on paper! 2"

This is quite good, but I totally dislike the fact he is not wearing a HOOD and he is no evil,In this Pic he is almost like a Bartender with a cloak(SORRY about the bad critics 8 8 8 8 8 )What about making his face a little thiner!?

45 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: No worries, you are not the first that say he isn't that evil looking. Did you look at the second version I did of him? You'll like it better, he has a hood and he looks evil. 2 A thinner face would probably be better, but since this is an old piece I don't see myself revisiting it (a Larry Elmore ink drawing of Raist was the inspiration for it, he was happy in that particular picture). Thanks for giving your opinion. 2"

I adore Raistlin! I have only read Dragons of Autumn Twilight, but I am going to read the next one soon. Anyways, I love the picture, even though that isn't how I personally picture him. I do think it's great though!

44 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Welcome to the Dragonlance series! I hope you got one of the older books graced by Larry Elmore's art, which is how I have always envisioned Raistlin. This picture was actually inspired one of his which is in one of hte Dragonlance companion books, he had that slight smile that made me go weak in the knees (at the time). Silver hair and hourglass eyes... Oh My *fans self* 12"

This is one of the best pics i've seen but at first i kind of thought he was Palin... but still raistlan and palin are almost the same good work 1

2 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: I guess would almost be the same, Caramon looked like Raistlin, well, for the most part, they are twins. <2"
23 Sep 200645 Tas (the real one of coarse!)
Hy let me introduce myself I'm Tasslehoff Burrfoot! Wow! Well Raistlan doesnt look all that spooky or doesnt look like all bad coughing and all that. Maybe i should tell Caramon that Raistlan is healthy again! Did i ever tell you the time i saw a wooly mammoth -goes on- Wanna see whats in my pouches? no? how rude but we'll still be friends see you later!

12 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: What the? Hey, he took my pencil! Why you little...! *runs after Tas*"

I really love this pic. He's my favourite of course and I'm very critical with pictures drawn of him, but this one's great! (sorry for the English's quality and don't wonder why you haven't see me I'm a new-one here.)

1 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note:*bows* Thank you! I am picky as well when it comes to picture of him. I have so many rejects!"
