At long last this one is finished, and Elfwood is back up so I can submit it again, with a background this time. This started out as a remake of 'Gothic corset chick' when I saw how many hits it was getting in the Sci fi gallery ( but no comments). 'I can make her better!' I love doing makeovers! :) I imagine her to be in a bubble city, the dark lines the support for the glass or whatever they used. I love how the skin turned out, the lighting isn't consistent with the actual lighting (I think she is doing a photo shoot <:D ) but I like it all the same. I consider this to be among my best work. Watercolor pencils and computer added background(I didn't want to wreck the actual picture).
Scottish Humor: The Scottish Chess Championships were being held in the Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh. After a particularly exciting set of matches (lasting nine hours) a group of chess enthusiasts were loudly discussing their victories in the hotel lobby. After about an hour of animated conversation, the manager came out of his office and asked them all to move on. When they asked 'Why?' he replied 'I can't stand chess nuts boasting in an open foyer.'

Oh WOW! Her eyes mesmerize! The coloring is fantastic! It all balances out so wonderful, the whole picture design and color just flow! I thought nothing could be as beautiful as my mermaid, but this one takes my breath away!

1 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "  Jenny's Note: Hi Mom! I see where I got my use of excamation marks from! ;D I am glad that the background didn't mess it up, this version only exists on the computer. I don't know how I would simulate the background on the original, I don't want to mess it up! Maybe I can have Ellen Million make a print of this for you? That way it will be high quality, and you don't have to worry about your printer running out of ink. Love ya!"

wowee your style has very much improved! I really like how you set this up so we could see both versions. you did very well on her face and the coloring. this is a beautiful picture.

7 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: I was really trying on the second one, the first one was more of a quick sketch, and you can't erase pen, so you are stuck with what you first draw. I have improved on my coloring, I'd like to think, or my lighting at least! Thank you for your comment. 2"

I love the outfit, especially the colored version. The shading is very good (as always!) particularly in her skin. The little heart is a nice touch... But my favourite part of this picture is her eyes. I don't know, everything is so dark around her, that her eyes just seem to glow. They really caught my eye. Very good choice of colours.

18 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: I think you have more faith in my lighting abilities than I, I can shade, but it always looks like it's diffused light. or that is how it seems to me, anyways. <2 The eyes and skin turned out perfectly (the skin mainly because I was using colored mat board a nice peachy color, worked wonders! I don't know why I dson't work on colored stuff more often!), exactly what I wanted. 2 Thanks for dropping by again! I am working on a drawing of Legolas right now, and some really pretty women I drew last night (on the order of "lady elf"). I am getting a bit impatient with some of the Legolas anatomy, I want to color! 2"

I love it, she reminds me of the chick in Chicago though. I think her name is Velma............ne ways i havent left ne other comments but i really like alot of your stuff!

7 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "  Jenny's Note: Cool! I've been wanting to see that movie (Richard Gere! WHOOO!!!) for some time now.. 2 Thank you for letting my know you like my stuff, it's appreciated!"

That was the first thing on my mind. The colored one, the expression looks like Velma Kelly from Chicago.

2 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Is it the hair as well? 2"

Could be the hair too... But mostly the expression

:-) Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note:*looks up the character on the web* Hah, you are right. <2"

I actually like the first one better. Maybe its because of the expression on her face..

1 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: She does look more peeved or something, maybe pensive is the word I am looking for. I have actually redone the colored version as well. Thanks for your thoughts!"

Brill , theyre both good though i
love the coloured one
she’s all there and dressed in a great outfit
to great effect
ooh love the little heart on her cheek ..

:-) Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Thanks, I like the little heart on her cheek as well. 1 I am trying to remember if I have the final retouched version up here or the older one. I did three versions of the colored one, fixing her up in each incarnation. I have prints of the latest one."
