A ground breaking picture for me, as it was done with my left hand (every thing except the first layer of oil pastel on the wall, the dark stuff between the flagstone). I did the three leaves with one of those stamp markers, using Prismacolor Markers to get the color onto the (almost dried out) stamp marker. Don't make her mad or she'll turn you into a frog, and there is a lake right there for her to toss you into! ;)

I love those trees! The depth is amazing - and with stamps! Her face is very nice too, and the dress. I like the lake too - ok I like everything! Great job!

My ignored and neglected left handed drawing had gotten some awesome praise by someone other than I! *BOWSBOWSBOWSBOWS!!!* yeah the stamp thing was pretty fun, the wall wasnt. And I was surprised that her face turned out so nicely considering that it is about 1/2 an inch big! <2 Thank you!!!"

That is truly awesome. My left hand is little more than a paperweight, as far as my art is concerned. The colors in her dress seem a bit muted and run-together compared to the rest of the pic, but this is still very nice.

2 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "  Jenny's Note:My left hand is a paperweight most of the time as well, just occasionally it gets out from under the control of my right hand, which wants to draw everything....Sounds like a novel "Right hand oppresses(sp) Left hand!" 2 I had some trouble with the colors on the dress, I used the wrong combination of colors, I probably should have stuck with orange or blue but not both! Thanks for commenting! 2"

You're kidding? With your left hand? You ARE aware that this is an amazing feat for a right-handed person? You must be REALLY proud of this picture, as you should! I'd still consider it a great picture even if you had made it with your right hand, but in this case, I don't even know what to say!! It's incredible the detail you managed to achieve on her face and hands. I love her dress design, but I have to say that the orange in the dress looks a bit out of place... Maybe you could've used the same color you used on her sleeves instead? Well, no point in discussing that now. Just thought I'd let you know.
Oh, and I love the trees. The stamp markers make an extremely interesting and realistic effect.

18 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note:No kidding here! I used to have another drawing up that I did left handed, but I took it down some time ago. It wasn't quite as advanced as this one. I was quite surprised I didn't mess up her face or hands, I just took it reeeeeaaallly slow (my right hand just ached to take over! <2 ). She was going to be Jelly Queen surrounded by huge things of jelly, but I wasn't sure I could capture the jelliness of jelly. 2 I am not sure what I was thinking with that dress color, probably contrasting colors, but it didn't work that well! The stamp markers saved me from making tons of tiny little leaves with my left hand! All hail stamp markers! 1 "

You got to be kidding me? Drawn with your left hand?? I cant't get an a to look like an a if I write it with my left hand. Very impressive pic!!

2 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: No kidding here! I had intended to practice drawing with my left hand more often a couple years ago, but never stuck with it, it was just faster to draw with my trained right hand. Thank you for the comment! 2"

No way! I'm sorry, but I can't believe that you drew that with only your LEFT HAND. Geeeeez! You have to sware to me that you're not really left-handed. SHEEEEZ!
hey, should try that sometime. hehehe.

7 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note:With the exception of where I forgot to use my left hand on coloring in a bit of the dark between the stones (out of habit my right hand took over, "Noooo!!! Argh this was supposed to be totally lefthanded!") But I don't know what "swaring" is...12Ok, ok, I promise you that I am telling the truth when I say I am not naturally left handed, and you should try it it is a good challenge. Thanks for the comment! 2 "

Oh my god. I can't imagine how much effort went into this if it was done with your left hand--I can barely even write my name with my right hand (I'm a lefty), so this is pretty darn amazing. I love the stampy leaves! I did a double take when I first saw them--they blend in so well, and yet they're all roughly the same shape... I also really like the color of the sky. Can't really tell if it is sunrise or sunset, though... Anyway, keep up the good work!

7 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: I wish I had different leaf shaped stamps so I could cheat more often on them! 1 I have always thought of it as sunset, but who knows. I think I think of all of mine as sunset pictures, probably because I see more sunsets than sunrises. 2 I am still amazed that I was able to get so much detail in her face and not mess it up! Thank you for the lovely comment! 2"

Wow! this is done amazeingly well for your left hand good job.2 I wish I could do it.

18 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: You can, it just takes practice. Remember learning how to write and how it was really hard at first(those 'd's and 'b's), and now it's easy? Thanks for the comment!2"

wow, I can't believe you drew that with your left hand, wow and wow some more. Aren't stamp markers fun!

7 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: *bows* Thank you! Stamp markers are awesome for cutting corners on making leaves! 1"

22 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: I was going to say it probably wouldn't take you a year, then I noticed that I am replying to your comment a year later...eek! So anything is possible. 2 I'm glad you like it."
