I LOVE the feel of this picture, the lyrics are so deep and sad, and it's a really great way to tell the pic's story in an artistic way. I like all the contrasts in this: the top of the image is all dark and blood red, and the bottom is a lot lighter... Well, you get my meaning. I like her dress a lot, you didn't disapoint me. Although it does look a bit tragic with all that blood coming out of her stomach... There's another contrast, between her beauty and the gruesome blood. Congratulations on another great pic /and thanks for mentioning me, it made me feel very special!!!). Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Hi there Sofia, sorry to take so long to reply to your wonderful comment(See the guilty looking smily (sp?)?)! I took about a month long break from replying to comments and now I am spending several hours making sure I am caught up again! And your comments are special no matter if they are first or thirty first. I am unhappy that the JPEG quality on this picture is so bad when the real life thing is awesome, it's a constant fight between quality and how long it takes the picture to load! Anyhoo, *looks at picture on web and winces* I think I'll upload the bottom half so you can see how nice it really is..The rocks turned out really well. I wish you could actually hear the song, there might be a tid-bit of it somewhere on the web, but I am not the best person to find stuff like that (like my search for rental chairs/party stuff on the web, so many dead ends!). I was a bit afraid to go so dark with the red at first, but I had alizarin crimson to use, and washes to practice, lucky for me it looks good and dramatic. I seem to be rambling here...I hope things are going well in your neck of the woods. *digs around for some more pictures to upload*"

I like how at the beginning it's all smudged and blurry, and the effect of scrolling down the page to find a body dripping blood was very, very chilling. Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Well I didn't intend for it to be all smudgy like that, I'd just drew it too huge and all the terrible terrible compression. You describing it as chilling makes chills run up my back, I guess I was more immune to it when I was drawing it. Thanks for the awesome comment! "

I have made a Song lyric illustrations tour and before sending off the ticket wanted to make sure you are happy about being part of it! E-mail me to let me know. Thanks! Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's note: Wow! I'm honored to be in your tour and happy you told me about it! I normally find out from a comment by a tour taker or by looking through my pictures! I'm just surprised the horrid JPEG quality on this one doesn't scare anyone off. I wonder if I could fix that somehow. Thanks again! < "

Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: In the song there was never a description of how the person the singer loved died, but I wanted it to be something tragic, I guess I was just feeling a bit morbid that day. Thanks for popping in again! "
