| 27 Mar 2004 | Sofia Carvalho | Loading...Once again I'm amazed by your coloring skills. Hmmm... I think I'm repeating myself, so I'll try to find something new to say, or maybe tell you exactly why I like your colored works so much. Her hair is amazing. You've managed to make it look very soft and shiny, but also fiery due to those orange/red highlights. The eyes are watery, crystal clear and seem to reflect the light, and the shadows around them are perfect. The way you colored her skin makes it look incredibly real. All in all, the only thing "wrong" about this picture is that it doesn't depict her whole body - the hint you give at her outfit made me curious. Wow, what a lengthy comment. Sorry about that. I just wanna give congrats, since you never seize to amaze me when I come to your gallery. Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Don't worry about the lengthy comment, you always have something good to say, and I tend to make lengthy replies < I don't mind hearing how much you love a piece of my art, as long as you don't mind me thanking you for it (I am afraid of sounding like a broken record at times!). I was trying to go for more blonde than read with the hair, but I haven't quite grasped how to make it that way with only the few colors I used. The skin got killed by the scanner so I had to fix it with the computer, I felt like when I apply makeup: "This'll smooth out that discolored spots.." The sketch looks a bit different from the finished piece, I think that she is more of a half elf rather than full blooded. This is the first piece where I have gotten this kind of beauty, like you'd see in a real person, and the eyes aren't super huge. Hmmm, now I'll have to make a sketch of the whole outfit. Oh, I am working on a picture of She-Ra right now, so hopefully I'll be able to put that one up in the fan art gallery pretty soon! " | |
| 16 Aug 2004 | Heather A. Baszynski | Loading...Very beautiful. The effect is almost an airy airbrushed looked. The skins looks flawless! (jaws drop!) I love the collor on her outfit it fits the theme. Her hair is perfect and bright many great highlights. Wonderful job. Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note(catching up on comments!): *bows* Thank you for the awesome comment! I used the airbrush tool on my photo program to smooth out her skin tones ( I'd colored it first with watercolor). " | |
