A commission that I colored for the fun of it on my FAVORITE program, Ulead Photo Express which kicks adobe photoshops ..... I have used both programs and Adobe still drives me up the wall, layers and all, I just work like I work on a real picture, except with five undos! Anyways, I was so happy to have my program again that I had the 'happy accident' of coloring this. <:) Story behind it : The girl was a gymnist who lost the use of her legs in a fall, was super depressed and contemplating suicide, when ominous guys came anbd offered her the use of legs again...She accepted, too depressed to think straight. Next thing you know they have her being injected with stuff, and her skin turns black and legs sprout from her back, they torture her to make her use her new legs (such as electric through the floor to make her climb the wall with them.).

I love this picture, she is soo creepy, but when I read the story behind it, I felt kinda sorry for her...

Photo express rules! I used it a lot, and still use it, by the way. It just beats all those layer-crap by far!

I have a spider-like picture in my gallery but not such a story behind it, maybe I should make one ^_^

18 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Yeah, it is a pretty sad story, she didn't know what she was getting herself into thats for sure! There has been a problem with my Photo Express saving ( when I click "save as" it closed the program instead), so I have been using the Phototshop. Layers really eat up space, but it does have the benefit of not having to save a bunch of different versions, you just have the one file instead. Thanks for popping in! 2"

Oh, pour gurl...

45 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Yep, very tragic. Could you imagine if you had a fear of spiders and you turned into a spider person? You'd be running away from youself forever! "

LOVE IT...GOOD JOB..iam kinda scared of spiders but not as much as roahces...*SHIVERS* ehhh..i rather hold a spider than a roach...o.0..O.O..lol..GOOD JOB...^^..

58 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Ugh! Roaches!*shivers* I wouldn't mind holding a microscopic spider, but not really anything bigger. After I did this piece I ended up doing a bunch of pictures of a Drider so I learned a lot about spiders, they are actually pretty cool. 2 Thanks for the comment!"

What a sad story... it's kinda fitting to the story of a real spider too, being tortured and hated because of myths. 10 In case you can't tell, I'm an Arachno-fan 1 And she seems to fit their quiet nature extrememly well 2

Congratulations. awards mini mods choice* 10

Oh, and I'm not sure if you say in the description or not, but is it in oils? *goes to look...*

18 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: *bows* Thank you for the mini mods choice! I'd like to thank my family, and my client, and my procrastination guilt! Without you this picture never would have happend/been colored! 1 Silliness aside, I colored this one the computer, I think purple makes a very good color for depicting highlights on something black. And yay for someone who likes spiders! I had to do some research for a different project and found out they are pretty cool. Anything that eats the bad bugs on my roses is OK by me! 2"

this is so awesome! hope to see more like her in the future!!!
AAAAAAAHAHHHH!!!!

28 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: I see someone likes horror! 1 I might have to post the one drider I did...One drider that I did over 30 times for a book (tired of driders!!!), I need to ask permission though. Thanks for popping in. 2"

Very dark mood and character. I love the colouring which adds to the mood, and her pose and anatomy - if you can call it anatomy.

One little thing, though: The story behind it is so dark, I'd expect her to have a more somber facial expression. Unless there is some reason to her little smile, of course... 2

A very good picture in every case!

43 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Ack,I think Elfwood is eating my daily comment e-mail again! I got the comment right before yours, but I haven't received any since then! Anways, I had to take a look at it again, I gues she does look a little like she is slightly smiling. Hmm, interesting, I guess you get to imagine what she might be slightly happy about. 2 Thank you for tasking time to comment though I didn't get to reply to now!"

Dana

:-) Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Thanks Dana! Unfortunately I do not take requests, I have too many other projects that compete for my time. I do commissions through www.portraitadoption.com though, if you ever want to see a character in 2D. 2"

she looks cool, love the colours and the little dark story, did she ever get her revenge on the people who tortured her...?

:-) Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Thank you, 2 I am not sure if she ever got her revenge, probably by now she has met some other super hero person settled down and had kids. 2"
