I love this picture, I finished it within a week! Shows you how much I liked it, I haven't been that eager to finish a picture in years! Anyways, this is a character in my newest story, I guess it would be two characters. There are royal triplets, two boys, which are identical, and one girl who has strange golden eyes. The mother and father had an encounter with an evil which promised that one of the three children was its, and they would know by the mark on that child. This actually started out as a drawing of the girl, and the picture I used for basis of the sketch was a woman, but it looked too much like a boy to me when I was still in sketch phase. Most of the time the guy sketch turns into a girl sketch! I haven't thought of what to name him, (Derrin? Sounds a bit much like his father's name, Gerran). I used watercolor pencils, I feel like I used every single color in the box on his skin (Except black or grey)! A Prismacolor colorless blender marker helped me blend the skin out smoothly.
Scottish Humor: Mrs McCotton was looking through the turkeys in a supermarket in Inverness, but she couldn't find one big enough for her large family. She stopped a passing assistant and asked 'Do these turkeys get any bigger?' The assistant looked scathingly at her and replied 'No madam. They're dead.'

Hey,why are there so few comments here? It's awesome! The hair, the skin, the frame - everything's so pretty!

22 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Wow, someone else actually commented!!! I don't know why people don't comment more on it. I worked really hard on it, I think it looks great, I figured that a moderator would think so too, but they seem to be enamored of Harry (Blah) Potter. I also figured that my little dragon scupltures ( my first thing of that sort) would be moderators choice, moderator liked it, but apparently didn't think it was distinctive enough (come on, two cute dragons one proposing to the other, and it was MY wedding proposal for goodness sake...) Ah well ( I know I am ranting), thanks for YOUR comment though, nice to see SOMEone around here ( looks around at non-commenters) appreciates my hard work! 2"

If I told you that I hadn't noticed this picture in your gallery before would you believe me? *bangs head on the keyboard*
This pic incredibly beautiful. His eyes - they look so real and deep that I almost feel like I can see his personality through them. It's hard to remember that he's not actually a real life person. You said his skin's browner than you intended but, in my opinion, it looks great like this, as it gives a nice contrast to his eyes. Oh, and his face is perfectly coloured and shaded (that's always the hardest part - at least for me!). I also love the frame... Well, to sum it up, I love the whole picture. If I think of a good name for him I'll let you know. 2

2 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "  Jenny's Note: Hi Sofia! Actually I can, since I have so much stuff stuffed in here! I forget sometimes what all I have up here! Don't worry about it, the moderator didn't notice it at all, except to post it. 14 (Hence the beginning of my theory I always get the moderator that doesn't like my stuff)*goes to look at this picture again* Gaaaaa! I forgot that the skin lighting is so perfect, like you said! 2 I guess he gets out in the sun a lot and wears a hat so that his hair stays dark brown instead of turning brown. 2I am still working on coloring the picture of his sister, on Ulead photo express instead of with watercolor pencils. Thanks for dropping by again! 2"

Wow. Awsome job on the hair! Lucky there's two of 'em but that might not be enough. Hee hee. (c:

1 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: *LOL* Glad the hair was noticed, I think I spent the most time on it. I am working on their sister in a paint program, and I stole the hair from this picture! Hopefully I'll getthat one done soon!(I say that about a lot of my pictures!) 2"

Very nice character portrait. A delight to look at. I like the realistic look of your character, it has a real nose, not a plastic surgery one 2
It kind of looks like my nose.

2 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: His nose looks rather like mine as well. 2 I think that all too often we get stuck in the rut of "only perfect, straight, angular noses are beautiful" when it is clearly not the case. Thank you for the comment! 2"

If your still looking for a name you can find them online, I tend to piece together names by syllables that sound good, you could try Loric, Kendar, Ispan, Tride, or Jent. (just suggestions) I just made them all up.

2 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note11 haven't touched the story since last year..."Kendar" reminds me of Kender, which is a race in the world of Dragonlance. 2 Thanks for the suggestions. 2"

I love the eyes! It really looks like you spent a lot of time on him. I really like the intricate border!

1 Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Thank you so much! I did spend a great deal of time on this one, having the scan it in two parts and put it together again was the worst part."
