Pencil and watercolour. I've always wanted to make a picture of Orpheus... From all Greek myths, this one is probably my favourite (partly thanks to Sandman I guess...;-) And also because it is soooo morbid.). Orpheus doesn't look very 'greek', which is mabe a mistake... Should have had a different profile I think. Nevermind. :-)

It IS Orpheus from the myth! His floating singing head after he got torn to pieces! It took me a minute to realize that.

I love Greek mythology. Orpheus art tends to be of him attempting to lead Eurydice out of the underworld, and I haven't seen many pictures of this particular "scene". I think your picture's very effective. It's creepy, disturbing, and beautiful - exactly how a picture like this should be.

Wow! I love ur colors! And the feeling! I wouldn't wory about it not looking "greek" ...The pure emotion of pain and the expression on its face will transfer over to any nationality. Wow ur soooooo tallented! Makes me jealous!

And you know what? He maybe doesn´t look Greek much, but he surely looks as the son of Dream of the Endless 1 It was the first what came to my mind, even before I´ve read the description.

Apart from that, it´s really very moving picture. It surely has the feel of a legend. Were I not knowing the myth, it would still tell its own story.
It sings.

Awesomely morbid. Great colours, expression. I looks like he’s dissolving in a vat of acid. Bloody cool.
