SciFi and Fantasy Art Purple Mage by Henning Janssen

This wicked wizard has been drifting around my piles of paper for 2 years now (in a line version). As I recently decided to start making 'decent' drawings I started digging for this dwarf again and instead of colouring him in photoshop I redid him in coloured pencils in my big book (for the good pictures). He still goes nameless but he might appear in another project I am working on at the moment. So I have some time left to decide on that. And ... yes ... you might have noticed that his magic wand looks a bit like Fin Raziels from the Willow movie (best fantasy movie before the LOTR trilogy if you ask me). The idea of the hair standing up and the weird hat was based on the concept of the evil Lady Mara by Loisel (and yes - that IS one of the best european comic book artists). So go check him out instead of reading another X-men book!

Though, if he didn't have the beard, he'd look more like a granny. Lol XD But great work anyway! I like especially the colouring, lineart and the lighting effect on the staff. =)
