Tag As FavoriteComment		This is a kender (it could be an elf, if you prefer), which is a much-loved subject for me. I drew it after a photographed model, and I think it's pretty good. The technique for the shadings of the gem I took from David Palladini's style in illustrating Stephan King's 'The Eyes of the Dragon'. It's a 'must' book for fantasy lovers, and if you're not the reading type, just leaf through it to see Palladini's B&W illustrations.

Hi Hila! I really like this one. The expression on the face is just great. The neck may be a bit too long, depending on what you were going after...never can tell with fantasy races though. I like to draw my elves and such slightly out of proportion. Hope to see more soon.

I love Kender! She seems to have the right expression, terribly innocent looking, but there is something there that shows her true nauture; you turn your back, you will have definatly lost something!

I think it looks more like an elf, way too elegant to be a common thief.First of all, thanks for saying she's elegant (Took me quite by surprise...). And now, a useful tip: never, EVER, call a kender "thief". It's what would be referred to in action-films-cliches as "BIG mistake"...; )

*grins* yes, there are several fates that can await you if you call a Kender a 'thief'. You will either get babbled over, knocked down or go home naked.

Very simple and well done, it is good that you draw from real models or from pictures. It helps. I dont know too much about the kender, apart for theor healthy atraction to thing that for some reason are other people's, this is another one i think you should try to paint. Very nice.
