I like the way the weaves seem to reflect the light that emanates from the goddess. And the art-nouveau hair of both women is beautiful The outflowing hair of the goddess reminds me of one of the indian goddesses, the one with the many arms. I'm not familiar with any of the symbols, does the second woman have a special meaning? Jay W.B. Hildybrant replies: "Yes, the God Shiva, who has four arms, I personified him as female. In his left hand he holds a flame or a lamp which signifies the burning away of all things material. In his right hand he holds a drum, representing the ticking away of material time. I used these two symbols in the drawing. Good call Anika. The girl to the right is just there as the person meditating on this particular Goddess. Thanks Anika!"

"Whose broad high brow was white as any leper’s,
Whose eyes were blue, with rowan-berry lips,
With hair curled honey-colored to white hips."
