I know I suck at descriptions. Generally because I don't come up with a story 'before' I paint a picture. I always let the picture develope a story on its own - and I hope that people will find it themself. So, if you want to hear this picture's story - just ask the little halfling there ;)

And the none-creative part: I always avoided to paint landscapes, so I tried something new. Took me quite long, because ... leaves are the ultimate evil! I did not touch the picture for about 2 months and almost gave up on it. But then I wanted to give it another chance ;)

That is rather excellent! The detail and obvious effort that has gone into it shows it must have taken a long time and is well worthy of it.

I know how you feel about backgrounds... And leaves scare me too! But you did a great job. It’s very nice and crisp, even though it’s quite different from most of your work.
