A pity it was to say final farewell
But not worth mourning over
Mere planks of wood and squares of glass.
I weep over what souls were lost.
Scattered to the winds as their place fell.
Friends grow distant and I find myself alone.
Once again without family or way
Only the winds to guide me
To what unknown destiny lies ahead.
Time losses all meaning
When you've friends to walk beside
For laughter knows no boundries
Days can not be counted
If there's no one to share them with
Because they all become the same.
But fire of love can not be doused
Only dimmed to give no light.
There still will always remain
An ever faithful spark
And to one as lucky as I am
At least for this moment be
I can take my hope and find a way
A person to make spark flame.
A warming glow it will give
And a joyful dance to show
With smoke like incense
Sweet and lingering here forever more.
But eternity is to short
To spend with even friends.
And in a seconds passing by
Like a dragonfly to the sun
What was once burning free
Can be embers once again.
And I will feel my sorrow rise
For even experience can keep it down.
But now I've a stronger will to fight
For what I know will always be true
Faith shall guide me to the end
Where Fate will begin again.
