Anna Hooge

My name is Anna and this is my art page. I've drawn for as long as i can remember. I've always enjoyed drawing the female body and characters which led me to what i want to do with my life - game designer. i'm going to go to school for it, and hope to make it my career as an adult. my second passion in life consists of movies and cartoons. my library consists of over 950 DVD's and around 200 VHS tapes. so ask me about any movie and i've probably seen it. (some of my favorite movies include: a beautiful thing, VELVET GOLDMINE!!, party monster, from hell, LORT, HP ::who doesnt these days, right??!:: poolhall junkies, star wars,  face off, red dragon, hannibal, QUILLS!, willard, serpents kiss, PCU,  peter pan,  XMEN:: huge fan of xmen...the comics, the animated series, the new movies.... i've been in love with the whole idea for a long time - my xmen comic book collection is worth more than my car!!::)  i enjoy watching cartoons and anime late night and *not ashamed* to say that i adore the disney channel. i think it comes out in my art when i watch a diverse amount of videos. even more than watching movies, i love to read. OSCAR WILDE IS BY FAR THE BEST WRITER OF ALL TIME (and my personal favourite!) i think that 'the ballad of reading gaol' is my favorite of his, but the importance of being ernest is right up there. (for those wilde fans who do not already know - they made a movie titled 'wilde' with stephan fry as my dear oscar and jude law as bosie - his boy toy. excellent film i do adore it and suggest that you see it, too) anyway...

I also love music (hey, who doesnt?). my favorite bands are nine inch nails, marilyn manson, the faint, the cramps, richard cheese, flyleaf, sublime, the killers, so on and so forth. i'll listen to pretty much anything as long as i can understand what the singer is saying.

my art is pretty straight forwards; most of it is in pencil, but recently i've discovered the awsome-ness of color. so bear with me as i explore the reaches of my colored pencil universe. My other hobbies include: (most often) costume and fashion design - HALLOWEEN IS MY DAY!! i wait all year for it, and when it arrives... its 24 hours of costume madness!!

i do have a character (say alter ego if you will) named Melekai Tae Coad. you'll see alot of her in here, so bear with me as she changes and evolves. i might one day publish the story i am writing about her!! she is my baby - so if i catch anyone stealing her image,  name or backround story - i will severly harm you and/or silence your life!!! JUST TRY ME PEOPLE dont mess with my baby!!

i've just decided to major in theological studies. so you'll be seeing alot more religious pictorials and such. (just so you all know - im pretty agnostic and reject all ideas of organized religion. im majoring in theo studies because i love the mythology behind it - i want to know everything about the christian religion...from the heretic scrolls to the assumtions, ect. i love it.)
