Tag As FavoriteComment		As a part of the art dragon community, we occasionally have an icon contest for an animated icon to represent the community. This one was my version of the Winged Serpent of the Aztecs/Mayans. Based on the sculpture and artwork from the ancient era of the South American Natives, I used my particular ink style and flair of drawing, and tried to merge it with that which I researched. :) This came out pretty well, and was intresting to draw. The form I choose is based on the old sculptures in and around the temples. Greetings all, meet 'Lord of the Dawn'. :D

Nice job, it looks a lot like a statue. The only suggestion I have is that you might not want to write the title straight on the picture like you did on this one. It just kind of wrecks it.

Nice drawing. I like it a lot. I've seen a statue that looked exactly like this near the Children's Musical Theater in San Jose.
