| 19 Sep 2007 | John R Farley Jr | Loading...I don't know what the depression at the nose near the eyes is. Still, this is your best drawing of a face, the anatomy is good, the expression is good, the hair, eyes and face overall is very well done. A very convincing picture. Iris F. Houten replies: "Uhm...I also don't know anymore what it is. I think it's because he's looking angry, and I wanted to put wrinkles (is that a good word?) there, but I put them a bit on the wrong place. Thank you very much for your comment. " | |
| 4 Oct 2007 | John R Farley Jr | Loading...The wrinkles, yes that is the word, would be above the eyes. I don't know what your money situation is like, but hey, Christmas is coming up. :c) There is a book I have called Facial Expression by Gary Fagin. I highly recommend it. It's a large book i.e. expensive ($35.00 US) and I don't know what's available where you are but it shows what the muscles are doing when a person makes a face. It shows how to draw the expression, even not-so-clear ones like the kind where a person is laughing very hard but has all the visual cues that she is crying instead. I still think this is quite good. Iris F. Houten replies: "sounds interesting...I think it is possible that's it sold here too, because there are some bookshops that sell English books. " | |
