"The Maiden with no Hands" by Michelle K Roach

for my grad class i'm illustrating brother grimm fairy tales.

This is the first that i chose, "The Maiden with no Hands"

This poor miller hapens upon the devil in disguise and without realising it barters his daughter away for a chest of gold. Upon going home he realises his mistake but their is nothing he can do. The first time the devil call he can not touch her becuase she is clean. The second time he calls he can not touch her because even though she was not allowed soap or water she has cried so piously on her hands they are clean. The devil tell her father that he will come for a third time and the father must chop of her hands or be taken away himself. ....if you want the rest i suggest you either google it or by a good brother grimm fairy tale book.
