| 17 Aug 2007 | Eliera Diego | Loading...Hey Ian! How's the art coming along this week? Ian Paul Houston replies: "Not bad! I've recently discovered the wonder of flamenco dancers! So much fun to draw as sorceresses... sorceri? They're always posing their arms and hands "just so" in these almost magical incantations, and their dresses, the way they flow. Sexy." | |

| 2 Oct 2007 | Anonymous | Loading...Hey, i left a coment yesterday on "the angel next door". Do you have a face book or email? Ian Paul Houston replies: "Hi there. I'm on facebook... if you search for Ian Paul Houston, you should find me in the Vancouver network. I have some art posted on facebook that doesn't fall into the fantasy theme so it's not available for viewing here on Elfwood.I think from my main elfwood page you should be able to click on "email artist" or something like that... it used to be in the top right corner... don't know if that's changed since the recent updates." | |
| 3 Oct 2007 | James Oliver | Loading...Hey mate, I love your work, and was wondering if maybe we might be able to link up for some illustrations for my stories maybe? Ian Paul Houston replies: "This idea has definitely intrigued me. I've managed to find the time to read a bit of your overview, and so far I like what I've read. Once thanksgiving is over, and our guests have gone home, I'll take this coming week to read all that you've posted and get in touch with you. We can talk shop." | |
| 22 Oct 2007 | George Johnson | Loading...Wow, your work is terrible. Do i have to call what you do.... Art? Ian Paul Houston replies: "My first instinct was to be offended by this comment, but when I thought about it I realized how ridiculous it is...After all, this is the FIRST negative comment I have received. I didn't bother to count all the rest, but they certainly outweigh your opinion by a landslide. All I can recommend, George, is that you view someone else's art if mine doesn't suit your taste. Nobody's holding a gun to your head. And thanks for stopping by!" | |
| 27 Oct 2007 | Crazyhorse | Loading...Very Insightful work. Your art shows not only talent but a vivid imagination. Unlike the cookie-cutter art that is prevalent on the internet, you can definitely see the time and care you put into each one. Keep up the GREAT work Ian Paul Houston replies: "*bows deeply in respect*I am honored by your visit, Sensei. I am glad you approve of my humble gallery. Did I ever show you any of my work that isn't posted here at Elfwood?" | |
| 22 Nov 2007 | Deborah Flyinghorse Sutherlin | Loading...Ian, you are extremely talented. Remember that it's about CONTRIBUTION not competition, (although your work could compete with *anyone*!) I'm just so touched emotionally by your work and that to me makes your artwork truly astounding. As I said before KUDOS and keep them coming whenever you get the inspiration! ~Deborah | |
| 28 Nov 2007 | Thor | Loading...Good job man. Definitely see the mushrooms at work. LOL.
Think about turning your work into a for profit enterprise by looking at painting residential walls for teen rooms or adults trying to recapture their youth. I know in the Atlanta market you would be huge. I also know some folks at the High Museum of Art here in Atlanta and think you could definitely showcase your work there.
