Ian Newbold is the creator of Newbold World and the organiser of the Newbold Challenge.

Newbold World is a fantasy and sci-fi setting that will be brought to life over the next two or three years by a series of stories and games. The characters and events in the stories and games will be made more vivid by artwork, sculots and hand painted miniature figurines sponsored by Newbold World. Any income generated by Newbold World products will be donated to some worthy cause through the Newbold Challenge.

The Newbold Challenge is an annual event designed to raise funds for registered UK charities. The 2007 Challenge is supporting Children in Need.

In essence the Newbold Challenge is a series of sponsored Artwork, Miniature Figurine Sculpting and Miniature Figurine Painting Competitions with modest cash prizes for the winners and matching donations to the designated charities. in addition there is a series of charity auctions on ebay.
