R. 'Icthulu' McCarty A D&D fan who has re-taken up the hobby of drawing the characters being run, have been run, and a few other things situations that have sparked my imagination.
***First commentary dance*** Welcome to the woods!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like your gallery, it's very cool. Well hope you like it here. R. 'Icthulu' McCarty replies: "Thanks very much. I am amayzed at how much I have forgotten and am slowly gaining back by doing these little pieces. They should get a lot better as I practice more."
I like your gallery. it's cool. R. 'Icthulu' McCarty replies: "I am very grateful for any comments. If you see anything "off" please let me know. I need all the help I can get. "
Thanks for checking out my gallery. I like your stuff (I'm partial to pencils). Do you have a blending tool? It's just a rolled-up-tight papery thingie that you could get at an art store...worked wonders for me. Keep on adding pics! R. 'Icthulu' McCarty replies: "I am sure I will start considering blending once I get a good grasp of proportions. My figures look they suffered from debilitating diseases when they were young. If they could talk they would probably say "What did you do to my foot?! And why is my eye pointed in the wrong direction!?" But once I know the basics, then I will start practicing proper shading since that is what is keeping the figures from being 3D. Sigh, such a long way. Yeah, I love your gallery of personalities, I am immensely jealous. "
Beautiful gallery I had alot of fun going through it. Welcome to the woods as well I am sure we will see great things from you in the future. Keep up the awesome work! R. 'Icthulu' McCarty replies: "Thanks very much. I don't think I come close to your works skill, but maybe if I practice a bit more I'll properly earn that praise. Well a lot, not just a bit more effort. "

Hey, ur gallery is really-truly one of a kind! This is increadible how much time u've must been spending on the details... You have earned urself a new fan as for now R. 'Icthulu' McCarty replies: "Wow! Thanks, that means a lot. I don't think I spent enough time, as I keep seeing things that I should have done much better. Sigh. But that is what the next one is for. I should set Blue Angel as my desktop background before I get sidetracked again. "
*waves hand from over fence* Hi neighbor! I know it's a little belated but here's some cookie-shaped cookies...anyway, I love your dragons, and your gallery is off to a GREAT start, please inform me about updates, and here I go to comment on you snuggly pics, and the others too... R. 'Icthulu' McCarty replies: "I'm happy to here that. When are you writing a new story anyway? Well took it out of queue and there are two more coming at position 1500 it seems so maybe by Thanksgiving there will be more. I love exagerating."
Aww, crap, that 'hi neighbor' thing probably sounded really strange, I was suppossed to be logged into my SF&F art login, we're in the same gallery, and I just couldn't pass up that dragon with the bear...sorry, I'm confusing... *lowers head and backs away slowly* R. 'Icthulu' McCarty replies: "Oh, you meant that kind. I was assuming that Elfwood in general constituted being neighbors. So either way... "
Thanks so much. I have much better drawings in my books, but sadly Elfwood doesn't think they're fantasy/sci-fi enough and rejected the few of them that I though might possibly pass.
I know exactly what you mean though, I know that feeling all too well and am trying to keep myself focused to keep at it.
Nice to see a fellow penciller. I like your style reminds me of me. Keep up the good work you got alot of imgination be a shame to let it dry up like mine did
Hi there, your gallery communicates me a great sense of relax. Since I quite a nervous people, I noticed the calmness of these pictures, which are all so well made. I can't see how I could make any sort of critic!
