| 18 Feb 2008 | Marcia Immis McBride | This is it... Mostly my work centers around the creation of my Roleplay fantacy world and character portraits. Eventually, my fresh work will appear here. Currently, im metaphorically cowering in the corner. It feels very naked, exposing my artwork like this... each of these images had been personal to me and a few others... they live in the black folder in the back room, and now.. everyone can see them. Very new.. Very strange.. and really addictive. | |
| 19 Feb 2008 | Robert David Beltran | I know what you mean Marcia, I have stacks and stacks of art the world has never seen but I have decided to share it (although reluctantly) but I must admit it is addicting. I must tell you that your art is awsome and is addictive as well so please keep posting!!!! Marcia Immis McBride replies: "It gives me a shivers, i know that. Thanks for your kind words.. if i hadnt managed to mess up my descriptions on my other art, there would be a lot more than five...
*grins sheepishly*" | |
| 20 Feb 2008 | Robin Andersson | Just hafta say that I agee with Robert. yer art is really good. I really liked the ant looking monster. it felt alive yet it seemed mechanical, really liked that. don’t be shy showing yer art, any form of critic will most definantly help you develop yer style. keep op the good work Marcia Immis McBride replies: "Thanks for your words Robin!" | |
| 20 Feb 2008 | H. England | I read your comment on Robert David Beltran’s art (pertaining to the fact that you were new here and hadn’t seen many jaw-drop-worthy artists) so I thought I’d recommend a few of my favorites for your viewing pleasure: Christina Marie DeLong, Rachel Anderson, Kajsa Flinkfeldt, Adele Sessler, Lina Rydebjork... hey, just click the link to my name and go to my favorites. I’ve been on Elfwood for several years so I’ve built up quite a list of favorites. They are all wonderful, with styles ranging from realistic to anime, from CG to watercolor... there are so many amazing artists on Elfwood! You’re well on your way to becoming one of them ^.^
And, um, if you want to, while you’re in the neighborhood, you can peek at my artwork, too. *shameless plug* lol.
Really, you should post more work here!! I wanna see more! ^-^ Marcia Immis McBride replies: "Shameless plug indeed *grins* Cheers for the heads-up towards your favourites! your artwork rocks as much as they do... although ill ask the question.. what is, exactly.. pocky?"
| 22 Feb 2008 | Chris Trosh | Your drawings are good here. Are any of them in line for a graphic novel or story? I like the amount of detail and thought that you have put into them and look forward to seeing more from you. If your interested in good artists you could take a look at my favourites, some of them are amazing. Marcia Immis McBride replies: "Yup. a graphic novel; involving a futuristic magic world, and of course an entire role-play world(s) to base it all in... so much to do.. so little time to do it in. i *know* you know what im talking about thank you for your comment chris.. i look forward to seeing more of your artwork too!" | |
| 24 Feb 2008 | H. England | Pocky is a nifty Asian snack that consists of biscuit sticks covered in a flavored cream. I know that sounds odd, but it tastes really good (at least, the chocolate and strawberry are good...).
They’re really popular in Japan (ergo are popular among anime and manga fans like me). There are flavors ranging from strawberry and chocolate to green tea and "men’s" dark chocolate. Some of the flavors are really strange ^.^ There’s a list of flavors on Wikipedia if you feel the urge to check it out.
You can buy Pocky at World Market and I’ve been told that Kroger sells it, too. It is yummy lol.
And thanks for checking out my work ^-^ *happy*...*wants Pocky*...
| 29 Feb 2008 | Green Phoenix | You definitely are blessed with a good imagination and level of artistic skill, and should try to use it more often.
*drops a green shining feather on the way out* Marcia Immis McBride replies: "Thank you for your words Pheonix - and thank you for your visit... i will be working on colour - but the only green hues i have mastered are the ’undead’ colours... not pretty to look at really... ;D"
