Update time- i graduated, bought a truck, then a home, and then a bonsai tree. Thinking about getting a dog next. I now work the graveyard-shift for a department store and sleep half the day. If I don't get my rest, fear the woman with the boxcutter! But, properly caffeinated, I write and draw constantly. I currently suffer from writers' block, and believe a bitter, violent-natured ex has destroyed the disc containing my best work out of revenge. As far as art, I mainly draw the characters from my novels, comics, or flash art. I have great difficulty with feet and hands, so gimme a break if they don't look perfect or I cut them out. I do not use adobe or photoshop or anything that involves art via keyboard. I consider it cheating (aka artificial talent). Similar to how I consider rap music stupid, lazy, and sterile. It's not art. I also design custom tattoos, including my own 2. One day I will afford to open my own parlor. But life has its set-backs so it might be awhile. In the meantime, I have frate pallets, shelves, and a boxcutter. Whoot-F.ing-do. P.S. (To you sensitive-types, sorry about the attitude. It sorta developed)

| 22 Dec 2003 | Emily | Dude that kinda grose the girs with the no shirts do you like that kinda stuff? Indigo R. Beharry replies: "There is absolutely nothing wrong with the human body in all it's design. I pity anyone who doesn't appreciate and respect god's work, and is afraid to see it. " | |
| 30 Apr 2004 | Kelley A. Pierog | Computer art is just as commendable as fine art... you would know if you had try it... so don't knock it! Indigo R. Beharry replies: "Nope. you can not replace the genuine sincerity of using your own 2 hands to create an image with an amount of button pushing or digital manipulation. Sure you may have supplied the basic idea, and you may get the image you want, but you did none of the work. you took the lazy-mans' short-cut. I have no patience for laziness. Nor can i appreciate something that is "too perfect". A piece of art, like the person that made it, SHOULD have flaws to be real. Because let's face it- reality ain't perfect! " | |
| 7 Jun 2004 | Orr2 | Your gallery is lookin' great so far! keep it up! | |
| 13 Jun 2004 | Stephanie ´Seribaba´ Hensley | Woo, I see what you mean about attitude. I can't see very many things setting you back in life. Anyway, your art is great. The unicorn piece is my favorite simply because I favor unicorns, but your whole gallery is good. I can't wait for more updates! | |
| 17 Jun 2004 | Darchala Chaoswind | The hostility you display towards digital art really just says that you've never tried it in earnest. It always saddens me when someone refuses to try a new technique just because they think of it as "cheating" or "fake talent". To be honest with you, digital art is just another tool, like paint or ink, and it does NOT make your art look good if you don't have any skill to start with. The computer won't paint for you-- you still have to do the work yourself. Moreover, as anyone who's tried to draw flowing lines with a mouse will tell you, it is infinitely harder than using a pencil. I can say that with a clear conscience, because I do both in equal quantities, and what I do with a computer is no more 'perfect' than what I can do with 'real' media. | |
| 18 Nov 2004 | Anonymous | Actually, there isn't button pushing involved in the real art done with the computer. And it is art made by your own two hands. Anyone who thinks otherwise, doesn't know what they are talking about. Moving a mouse around or moving the pen of a tablet to draw is not pushing buttons to make art. I move my pen around on a tablet in my lap, and what I draw appears on the monitor. There is a lot of talent required to do art on the computer. And you did none of hte work? Where in the world did you get that idea? Doing artwork on the computer is the same as off. You do ALL of the work on your own, unless you're a novice using filters to look like a moron. And believe me, the work is quite flawed despite what you think. Basicly it's the same as RL. Some have very flawed pieces, others have not so flawed. I do art on and off computer. I know what I"m talking about. But anyways, your traditional art is good. Indigo R. Beharry replies: "thanx- but i'll stick to the traditional methods" | |
